Getrag 245?

I'm trying to figure out if this is a 245. It supposedly came out of an 82 320is

What you have is a 240 5-speed.  It does have the mechanical speedometer cable input so can be used with your speedometer.  I don't know about using this on your NK but it can be fitted to the '02s.

Yup that's a getrag 240. I have one in my basement that's waiting to be installed in my 2002. They're lighter and shorter than the 245, and almost the same length as a 4-speed.
