NK Ignition key

Recommended Posts

The top key is the door key and bottom one is the ignition key. I'm not sure if this is original to the car as I thought the door and ignition would be the same key??

When searching NE8 it turns up a fork key for a motorbike and its shorter than what I have.

I find this key little puzzling.

The Huf, door key is likely original.  The other key is not original and was cut from a blank that just happened to fit.

My NK Coupe has three separate keys, ignition, doors, and trunk.  None of them are original or I'd post a pic.

I want to make a copy of the ignition key but I don't know which blank to order. There are plenty of blank BMW keys out there but none that look like the ignition key.

My Coupe's key it the standard, Taylor blank... works fine.

Here's an old thread, but perhaps some of the info is still relevant?

here's a current eBay listing for a Huf blank... will this work?
