Vintage rally question

Hey 

 

I was watching petrolicius and there was this guy who turned his vintage Saab into a vintage rally replica and he had Russian mig gauges for clocks and tachs.  Apparently this was 

common back then because the aviator gauges where higher g shock rated lol. 

 

Have u guys ever heard of this. 

 

I have a extra cluster and going to convert into aviator electronics for a project.

Nope, never heard of that.

 

Racing gauges are plenty tough.

 

Although, I can see where the artificial horizon/ bank&turn gauges could be useful, in rally...

That concept is GREAT! I love creativity / re-purposing like this! 

 

And re: rally 2002s… There's more to rallying than just beating the poor ever-living shit out of your old car in the mud and forest, to prove how much you disrespect it's engineering and history.
