While in another thread "Reviving the tii after five years hibernation" I noticed a clever adaptation that inspired me.  Thanks JohnH.

 

The wiring for the tii upgrade to E28 fuel pump can be hacked together or existing loom parts can be used to do a better job that should stand the test of time. 

 

I visited my local (import) wrecker and he let me dig through his bin of Benz and BMW fuel pumps.  I snagged the harness parts from various pumps.  Not sure which models or makes the parts came from but MANY pumps have the same configuration. 

 

Two wires with grommets, two rubber caps, plastic Y-shape casing: all for $10.  He probably would have taken $5.

 

Although I show the splice connectors, I ended up using spade connectors into the existing tii female plug and shrink wrapping the whole connection.  No splicing and the opportunity to put it back to original, as my old pump still works although noisy.

 

 

 

Synopsis: Pump is SOOO much quieter and becomes silent within about 10 seconds.
