Anyone Here Know A Ruben Gouveia In Ca?

I sold three grille pieces on eBay back on 12/1 to three different people. One bidder - who calls himself "1972 BMW2002Lover" - was high bidder on all three at one point, but was beat out on 2 pieces. Since then I have sent an invoice to him twice with no response whatsoever. His name is Ruben Gouveia of Pleasanton, CA. Can anyone enlighten me on this guy? Why do you bid, win, and then decide "nah- thanks anyway" especially at a cheap price ($24.95) ?

Wooben was last seen driving a 2005 whale tail at a very high rate of speed, now tell us about the grills, roundie parts no doubt?

Of course Roundie parts! Both side grilles for a '74-'76 (black plastic), and a center grille (metal) for an earlier car. The side grille he "bought" is a nice piece, and for $24.95 I can't figure out why he won't simply pay for it.

Looking for a center, older version metal, roundie tail light version, its gone? Yea ebay can suck, they turned it into a buyers market when they took away feedback for sellers and brought paypal in to run the show, a seller can do everything right and still loose a claim to a sneaky buyer.

Yeah, the center piece is gone. And I will no doubt have to explain this turkey is a non-paying moron, which will cause him to make untrue claims about me and probably give me the first negative feedback I will have gotten in over 1450 eBay transactions. Not a great outcome.

If I had to guess, he wanted all or nothing and didn't think to actually explain this to you (because, telepathy).

eBay has a fairly straightforward non-paying Buyer policy; you are well past the point where you should have filed an NPB against the guy.

If he doesn't pay or respond promptly to the NPB, he will lose feedback privileges for the transaction. Likewise if he does but doesn't pay, it ought to be removed.

I did open a complaint with the eBay resolution center. We'll see what that brings. I noted that another seller had made the same complaint of non-pay against this guy back in September, but they erroneously hit "positive" instead of "negative" on the feedback  note so it did not show up as a hit against his trustworthiness. I plan to change that scenario.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
