Completed, here is photos .... the trunk cover fits over jack even though there is new plate under jack, the tire tool and the hitch fit together also under truck cover panel... the hitch is for motorcycle trailer in a bag + 12"-14" to top of ball ........   L

CJ, I have center exhaust w/ Audi muffler .... see photos and you will see next to hitch  exhaust pipe exiting muffler and turn to go to mouse hole exit ... show photo of yours and I will see if similar to mine ... L

center exhaust is not really "center".  it is off center and a hitch will fit.  i have a tow loop mounted in the center bumper shock location.

Trailer finished 1600-02 in shop for brake upgrade, so saddled up with the MB 190 SL and home it is ... L

this is the hitch i had made years ago, have to clean up to install on newest 02. but i really like the class 2/3 idea, will have to re think this. and i have towed loads of stuff, but mostly a sailboat. once i towed a volvo 240 wagon.
