  got a cup of coffee at the Shell station at Azusa Ave and the 210 Fwy .....

 

  then headed due north ..... Azusa Ave becomes San Gabriel Canyon Road

  about 13 miles to East Fork Road, turn right.

  about a mile to the Burro Canyon Shooting Park turnoff ......

 What keeps me in SoCal is the weather.  Looking at those pictures, you cannot determine the air temperature.

 --  Yesterday it hit mid-90's at Burro, plenty hot and sunny.

 --  Last December I was at Burro and the pictures were identical, but the air temperature was low 50's, plenty cold and sunny.

 

 Either way, always a wonderful and peaceful drive up the canyon.  If you want to see what the drive is like, here's a few riders traveling the same route from the mouth of the canyon up to East Fork Road .....
