Me and the wife left San Antonio at 3:00 on a beautiful Friday afternoon, taking the scenic route to Fredriksburg, 16 to 173. 

 

In the middle of Kerriville about 25 minutes from our destination, shifting from 2nd to 3rd...The pin on the shift selecter rod shears off. Coast in a parking lot, call the insurance company to send a tow truck and cancel the hotel resvervation. Now I'm sitting at home.

F#$%!  I'm bummed.

 

But, I sure am glad I got the 125 mile towing opion on my insurance. Also, to tow truck was there in 5 mnutes. If it was gonna happen , could've been worse
