Driveshaft Rubber

Recommended Posts

Ive just ordered this part from Walloth and Nesch http://www.wallothnesch.com/kardanwelle/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/katalogbild-26-05.html Part 26/05/01 but neither of my 2002s have it fitted. Is it because it had disintegrated or is it unnecessary? I assume it fits over the driveshaft and sits in the middle of the Guibo donut?

I'm clueless .....  but in trying to interpret that exploded diagram, it looks like it goes inside the front end of the driveshaft ????

to the best of my short memory, nothing sits in the middle of the guibo.

another view which shows all those parts as an assembly ......

Cheers,

Carl

It goes in the trans end and the centering pin from the trans output pokes into it.  Without it and you have a guibo failure, the driveshaft will whip and tear hell out of stuff if not kill you.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.
