Slave Cylinder Piston Extended/popped Out - How To Fix?

Go to solution Solved by felix_666,

I accidentally depressed the clutch pedal when installing the carpet.

Slave is new, so I'd like to use it if possible.

Piston doesn't seem to want to be pushed back, and I can't seem to see a circlip or anything similar to dismantle.

Its a 5 speed slave.

Thanks.

Worked it out.

In case anyone else has the same problem:

You need to pop the strange clip holding the boot in place, then it all comes apart. The friction of the boot was preventing the cylinder going back in to the bore, then reassemble, pretty straight forwards.

see pic.
