engine and drivetrain Bmw1502 Flywheel Installation

Hello,

I got a question and can't figure it out.

Is it possible to mount a flywheel wrong?

Now I can't see it because the gearbox is mounted and everything is working fine.

I want to know it for the regulation for the ignitionsystem.

If the collar's missing from the crank, yes, you can mount it in one of 6 (early 1500) or 8 (late 1502) positions.

 

But for these cars, that doesn't matter at all.  In fact, it's a nice way to re- use part of your ring gear

that otherwise doesn't see much use...
