center carrier bearing

Recommended Posts

Does the center carrier bearing support the weight of the driveshaft? Mine was replaced apprx 3k miles ago and I noticed that the driveshaft rests on the lower side of center. While in this position, I am unable to get the proper alignment of the driveshaft. If I place a 3/8 piece of rubber fuel line under the bearing, everything is good.

thanks for any advice

Jeff

if the bearing rubber is sagging, it's a bad bearing.

It should hold the driveshaft up at about the center of the support.
