Need the wheel covers on.... Looks unfinished without them.

So how were the tires?

Yes- too “plain Jane” without the caps.  Found some new ones. Awaiting delivery.

Tires are better than the Sumitomos.  More spirited driving required to fully appreciate.

Since it’s 2023 and I’m planning on taking Oscar to Vintage in May, here is what I have planned:

1) Have another new headliner professionally installed. This has bothered me the most since 2016. I did replace the existing trunk vent snorkels with block off plugs to help with buffeting above the headliner. The glue I originally used (Wurth Rubber Glue) didn’t hold. The spray adhesive I used for the foam insulation didn’t hold.

2) Have upper seat belt anchor points added to the B pillar. This is a safety issue.

3) Move seat belt retractors from under rear seat to in front of seat bulkhead. Rear seat bottom cushion prevents proper belt retraction.

4) Adjust upward travel stop of passenger side window to eliminate water leaks.

4a) Install new door panel that has been sitting in my basement since 2014 (after #7 is complete).

5) Add more sound deadening to cabin.

6) Install a sound system (BlueTooth Amp, rear 6x9 speakers, Kooglewerks under dash speaker panels).

7) Figure out why my passenger side vent window won’t fully close.

8) Purchase and install new window cranks.

I already have a new headliner and am scheduling a shop to do the work.

One seat belt retractor has just been moved. Driver’s side next.

Jim - I'm also going to move the upper seatbelt anchor to the B pillar on my ti.  Did you weld yours in?  If so, did you have to remove the rear windows and B pillar trim to avoid heat damage?  Thanks

It hasn’t been done yet, but the shop plans on removing the interior B pillar trim pieces, cutting a slice into the pillar to “peel” back the metal; then inserting the threaded piece after they cut the welds off from my spare body pieces. They will then weld the plate to the pillar and re-secure.  At least this is the initial plan.  Since the front and rear glass has to be pulled, I’m pretty certain the quarter windows will also be removed.

Installed rear 6x9 speakers in pristine uncut parcel tray. Yup.

Mounted Kenwood Bluetooth amp under rear seat. Simply screwed to backside of bulkhead. Power wired to switched side of battery cutoff.

Received under dash speaker panels from Kooglewerks. Mounted and wired right side.

Removed shorty center console. Modified hole from ashtray to accept Kenwood controller.

Ran speaker wires, amp turn on wire and positive wire for dual USB charger/voltmeter.

I’ve crawled in and out of the trunk multiple times. My back and knees don’t hurt. Thanks Peloton.

Getting there.  Super easy pairing my iPhone to the Kenwood amp. Can play all my liked songs from the Peloton bike.  Still puzzles me how the shorty console was not secured to the trans tunnel nor the dashboard.  Will make an L shaped bracket to secure the console.

After some messing, I got the center console back together today.  My efforts to add adjustable dash lighting to the AEM gauge and oil pressure gauge unfortunately didn’t work out.  The console now has a bracket to secure it to the lower dash on the right side.

I’m happy to report the Kenwood Bluetooth amp doesn’t require re-pairing to my phone after the main battery disconnect has been turned off.  It resumes playback from the last song.  It’s nice having some “tunes” in this car without an antenna nor a head unit.

Still waiting to hear back from the upholstery shop on doing the headliner.
