Tricks for prying out headliner bow?

no real tricks, you can rotate them down about 90 degrees, and the flex them so they release themselves from their mountings, and take care not to shatter the plastic holders the ends are sitting in. Don't let the end of the bow snap back towards the hole and strike the plastic.

The back one next to the rear windshield is a cardboard piece that is snapped in , get a good grip and as much purchase on it around the mount and pull down, pop it out, try to not damage either piece.

good luck, and save all the little clips that clip the headliner on to the edge of the windshield, under the rubber seal. These are very small, and may still be able to be ordered new. And maybe you know this, but the windshields usually need to to out to replace the headliner.

Blunt can get the little plastic pieces that the ends of the bows fit into - mine shattered when I removed them.
