Q for those that have oil temp gauges

yeah,

a temp sender on the oil pressure port isn't going

to tell you oil temp, it'll just read ambient metal temp.

4x2's right, there is no flow there.

Temperature in the pan's always a bit low (since there's quite

a bit of cooling going on at the bottom of the pan, and the hot oil lands

on top) but it's about the best you can do. I've run temp gauges in the pressure lines

and found it's 'about' the same (pump heating, I guess)

but since I'm still waiting for the dry sum fairy,

I'd think the scavenge lines would be about as accurate as one could get...
