Starter Options

Recommended Posts

Yesterday had the car around town and at one stop it failed to start.

The starter has always been strong and the car has started every time since I got the car.

I was finally able to get the starter to engage by bypassing the solenoid on the starter body.

I look up the solenoid on Mobile Tradition and find it is NLA.

What are my options? I'd rather not have to replace the entire starter if I can avoid it.

TIA

Cheers!

FWIW, I have three good starters listed in the parts for sale section. $15 each but shipping might not be cheap.

1976 jadegrun 2744974 (sold then killed by the new owner, grrrr!)

I thought a starter can be shipped in a large USPS flat rate box for $15.

That's still a lot, but a good suggestion.
