TiSA Wheels

Tom was good enough to send me a couple photos of the TiSA wheels that are coming with the 1800Ti I'm picking up this weekend. Here they are:

What is correct finish on these? I've seen a lot of recommendations for the Krylon "Dull Aluminum" with a satin clear coat.

Wurth Wheel Silver is the "Correctest" but at $25/can, its a little expensive. The krylon dull aluminum(and clearcoat) are 2.95/can at Walmart. Ive blasted two of my rims and primed them, im hoping to get them painted and cleared next week.

I sprung and got my e 30 steelies sand blasted and then powder coated.

Spent a little over $ 300. Not cheap but I feel it is worth it.

I need to take a better picture in the sun. Actually is silver and not grey.

Well I got the Krylon Matte Aluminum on two of the rims yesterday...extremely disappointed. Its waaaay to "chromy" looks like i'm going to have to pop for the Wurth wheel silver and paint the faces and the lips of the rims again. I know, I know...you get what you pay for.....

What is the offset on these 14x6 wheels? Were there any 14x6 E30 steelies? I would assume the offset is still not right though.

:)

There is no ET stamped into the wheels, but it is definitely lower than an E30 wheel.

Though I do not know the exact offset of the TiSA wheels; NK's use a closer offset to E21 cars than '02s and E30's.

There are E30 steelies... found by searching the FAQ.

http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,search/mode,results/?search_keywords=e30+steel&search_terms=all&search_author=&search_forum=-1&search_time=0&search_fields=all&search_cat=-1&sort_by=0&sort_dir=DESC&show_results=topics&return_chars=200

They are 14x5.5 et35 and do fit NK's but look a bit tucked and would look best if the offset were changed to say et20. Or even better enlarge the rim to 15" with about an et20 ish offset like these et25 15x7 E30 steel wheels....
