  1. Just picked up two 1970 2002 parts cars, one I’ve already dismantled and those parts are available for sale...the other car is still complete and will be coming apart in the next few weeks. At this point I have all the parts still from the car I just dismantled and they are ready to ship asap, message me with what you need. Still available for sale are tons of parts from about four other parts cars I dismantled over the past year...lots of stuff from both round and square tail cars and some Tii parts as well.
  2. Chrome license plate light cover in good shape, no cracks, shiny chrome. $75 shipped.
  3. I have tabacco seats but they are tentatively sold....I also have a pair of black ones for a ‘71-‘73 in good shape. If you’re going to recover you could use the frames and rails from these.
  4. You can tell you guys don’t live in an area where it snows a lot because this is the condition of every parts car I’ve ever had here in New England! If you can get the three cars for two grand you can sell the complete injection system for $1200 and with the two Tii brake boosters and the bumpers you can easily get $800 for the lot....then the rest of the stuff you’re making some money for your labor and helping a lot of people on this message forum with hard to find parts. Somebody needs to get these before they’re scrapped...
  5. Saw these parts cars for sale online at a junkyard in VA Beach, two Tiis and a Euro model 02. I have not seen these in person nor talked to the seller...and I have no affiliation with the seller so don’t contact me about them please....but I’d hate to see these get crushed so I thought I’d pass along the link. https://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/d/selling-3-bmwtii/6669725080.html
  6. A hard brake pedal could also be bad rubber brake lines. The inside of the rubber lines gets narrow with age and when that happens the brake fluid won’t travel through them as easily which results in a stiff pedal. I had it happen on a ‘72 automatic that I had, changed the lines and the pedal was normal again.
  7. I do have rear window latches, PM sent with info.
  8. I have a couple of three piece dashes to sell, but complete only. Let me know if want the whole thing.
  9. You need the bolts installed. The bolt holes in the block don’t go through into the inside of the block so no oil will seep out there, however the bolts do hold the timing chain cover on in addition to the a/c compressor bracket, so without them oil may seep out around the cover.
  10. Better grounding usually solves most electrical gremlins with these cars...especially after nearly fifty years of corrosion building up...usually the first place you see telltale signs of ground problems is with the instrument cluster.
  11. If you need a front plate bracket I have one for the big bumper cars...bit more reliable than the zip ties (not that I haven’t used zip ties on a license plate myself)!
  12. Those bolt holes do not go through the cover. My guess is the timing chain cover gasket is leaking...or has leaked in the past...and the oil just seeped around the bolts over time. I’d clean the bolt holes with brake cleaner and reinstall new bolts. If you’re removing the compressor bracket you may also need slightly shorter bolts now as well.
  13. That hole is a great entry point for a mouse to build a nest in the bell housing of the tranny. I’ve seen mice get in there through the throwout bearing arm hole too.
  14. I used the e30 M3 starter on my track car and it worked fine. Lighter weight than the stock 02 version and I think it was cheaper too, if I can remember right.

My friend bought a ‘76 2002 from 2002ad in pristine, restored condition and it rusted badly in about 3 years....all they did was slap on the bondo and resprayed it...he lost big time on that car. I certainly wouldn’t recommend 2002ad and I’d be wary of anyone associated with the place...just my 02 cents worth.
