  1. Price: $617
    Location: Raleigh, NC

    Description:

4 wheels with 4 center caps. Bought these way back when for $617.50 total, and while they were sitting in the closet I decided to go with the 13" wheels, so they've never been used.

15x7 for a 57.1mm hub with 25 mm offset which is supposedly the "right" size for a 15" wheel for a 2002 according to others on the 2002faq. I've never used 15" wheels so I don't personally know.

    Silver centers with polished rims.

There's not really any difference but here's one picture of each wheel

The last two still have the plastic wrap on them.

Each has a center cap as well

And here's a couple pictures outside so you can see the color better

Unfortunately since I never used them I don't have any pictures on a 2002 but I believe the following forum members had the same exact wheel colors and dimensions

Thanks - Those pics were taken when I just installed new H&R Sport springs and Billy Sport shocks.

I thought the same thing - I wanted a little more drop,

I hoped that the suspension might settle in a little. Here  are some pics taken today.

I did!  They're awesome!!  Here are a few pics with Continental Pro Contact 195 50 15s  Zero spacers and 100% stock suspension.  The only thing I need to figure out is how to replace the ROTA center caps with BMW ones.  I haven't even tried to look into that yet.

Next up this winter are coil overs, bushings, sway bars and breaks.

I'm just looking to get back the $617.50 I spent on them.

I'm located in Raleigh NC and prefer to do a local transaction, but if you're interested in getting them shipped let me know your location and I can look into it.

  2. I agree to check alignment, by design because of the caster angle the wheel will change camber as it turns, so if toe in toe out is off the camber with the steering wheel straight may look off too. Maybe for a clue check if you turn the steering wheel while looking at one front wheel, is it ever at a point where the camber looks more correct and the toe still looks okay.

Also the key word is that the camber "looks" significant, the camber from toe plus the visual perspective can add up to make it look like more camber than it is, so don't rule out toe without checking first.

  3. I took a few pictures last year when I changed the wire on my 74 tii, I don't know if the fact that it's a tii makes a difference to whether or not they would have spliced a wire.

On my car it was the clear/yellowed resistor wire all the way to the fuses.

Maybe someone measured the resistance, it was too high and they cut out the amount of resistor wire they needed until it was low enough.

Yes I agree, the car in question is an early 70s Alfa spider and one behind it is a Peugeot sedan!

Whats fascinating other than Cher is that Dark Malaga colored car in front of the orange pickup truck! Can’t even guess what that is. Almost like an early 911 but no...

@resra could potentially be a fiat 124 that looks rounder than it actually is

  5. Way more clips makes it better. I use more clips basically side by side the whole way. For the rear I just pull it tightly starting in the middle of the windscreen and working out to the edges. Because when I did it the first time from the edges to the center there was one big ugly crease in the middle that I couldn't get rid of.

The top rear is definitely the hardest part to get right. Overall I think the key is just stretching and enough clips to keep it stretched all the way across.

  6. For all we know the person in question could even be on this website. As devils advocate, from what I read in your original post, Just because for whatever reason they had they didn't feel like talking to someone who pulled up next to them at night,  and waited until they rolled their window down when it was clear they didn't want to roll their window down for a stranger in a non 2002 car, I don't think it's necessarily fair to call them a jerk or a dipshit. Neither person has to be a weirdo you can both just be normal humans one excited to talk to someone and one not.

I have the same smaller sticker on my 74tii where your break in sticker is, but no break in sticker. I wonder if windshield sticker application is another thing that varied during production. Maybe it can be figured out and added to the list of things to critique on restored cars on bring a trailer.
