  2. Yeah Daron, that pile! Damn that's an old pic at Front Range Airport. Probably '12.
  3. I have a survivor '72 Tii that i did the 5speed swap right after I bought it in 2002. It is not a garage queen and I take it on long roadtrips often. It increases the value of the car "to me" because I can comfortably drive it with less strain on the engine and I can actually hear the stereo. On the other hand,I would never install a 5 speed in my '67 1600, that, was restored for posterity. Value is in the owners personal preference. dq
  4. That's it. Good guy and does it all. Has flanges for the big cars too. dq
  5. Perhaps this is already known? I am doing a 5speed conversion for a friend and was having issues finding a 3 bolt flange for the driveshaft. I was surprised to find out that my go to driveshaft shop here in Colorado (Bill's Englewood Driveshaft) now carries the correct flange for this job. No more chasing e21 parts. Just an FYI. dq
  6. Simeon, I think that you got it. Wow, what we thought was state of the art back then. dq
  7. Yeah, could be, maybe the other half is broken off. Just so J.C. Whitney.
  8. +2 on horn. Still cant figger' that little clamp thingy though?
  9. New one to me. Is that a switch? What does the other side look like?
  10. Sorry, I live out in the country and would have to go all the way into Denver to find a bus station. Best I can do and is my usual way of shipping is, drop it off at my local packing and shipping place and what ever the costs are, will be all yours. $200 + costs. Thanks, Dan
  11. #1- Remove cotter pin #2- Gently pry the metal strip away from the glass,up and down both sides of the glass with a plastic scraper. #3- With a rubber mallet gently tap on the metal strip,up and down both sides. They are not glued on, they're just old.
  12. Thanks Steve, I have an original 67 6volt out back with the belts still in it. I'll take a look. dq
  13. It's the personal collection of a good friend. 35k sq.ft. of cars and airplanes. Pretty cool gig for an old retired wrench. dq
  14. Any condition considered. I have lots to trade, what do you need? Like the belts in attached pic that someone sent to me. Thanks, dq
  15. NYNick has it right. I am caretaker for an 87 car muscle car collection and, every car is loaded with dryer sheets and we have those buckets with the "tight rope" and water around all of the hangars, they are very effective.Another thing is to leave the trunk lid and hood open as, they like dark spaces to hide and nest. Rodents are just tough to manage . Good Luck, dq
  16. I'll get hold of him to OK that, I pass on his contact info. Dan
  17. Harry, I'm sorry, I sold it and forgot to mark it sold. No 2000cs stuff left. I have a friend here in Colorado that races one and probably has some parts from when he stripped the car. Dan
  18. Well..............Just leave it as is and move in another direction with it ! Sincerely, Don Garlits
  19. Ya know, I have seen in the past,on a car that sat static, for a long time, the shocks would stick in the up position when it was jacked up and then lowered again. Just sayin'. Do the shocks function as designed? dq
