  3. I am reopening the discussion of front seat covers for Turbo. I am ready to locate the proper vendor and place an order. Sending this message to see if any of you are interested in ordering at the same time to get a larger order and possibly a better price. Those of you who are interested, please respond. Either way, I will be ordering seat covers soon.
  4. I never imagined it would be so hard to find a battery, but I thought it might be helpful if I uploaded the batteries that came out of cars that came directly from Europe....YUASA YBX3063 and IMAG 1923.< < < < <

  6. Has anyone heard of an N20 swap into a 2002? My son's 328 with the N20 4 cylinder and a tune pushes about 350hp. Seems like the size of that engine would be a good fit t build a modern day Turbo. Obviously would have to get an intercooler and piping in there somewhere.
  7. Although I have not installed them yet I did purchase a resonator and muffler for my Turbo from BMW. Either they went NLA since or they gave me the wrong parts. Did you check on realoem for part numbers and then check with your dealer?
  8. Hello- I am replacing the battery for the first time in my Turbo , which came from Europe. Found a battery locally for a regular 2002, brought it home and its a no go....too long and it does not have the grooves for the hold down on the ends. After doing some research it looks like a 21r is correct but it seems like I will have to special order it. Before I do that, I just wanted to check with the Turbo community and get some advice. Thank you
  9. Could't find any plate. It only says A/R 42 8C1.
  10. The coolant plugs mentioned by a couple of you here are 17mm. I located them and they are installed on the block picture below. Just cannot find where this thing goes.
  11. Now I am trying to figure out wire retainer placement and type. The 2 pics are of another turbo. One of the larger wire retainers is hanging off the intake stud above the starter. The other pic shows the valve cover with one spark plug wore retainer in the lower part pif teh pic a smaller wire retainer at the top of the valve cover. I have tried to look online at other turbo engine pics bit as you all know, trying to figure our how they came out of teh factory is not always easy. Any advice here on proper type off clip/retainer and proper placement and positioning would be helpful.

  14. BMW Classic has been talking about reproducing the KKK unit for a few years now. But still nothing. The Garrett unit seen in the pics here fits in the space and the car will run better than stock.
  15. #4 in the photo measures 19mm for the head and 14mm on the threads. It definitely looks like a plug. Th engine and tranny are not disassembled so it did not come from behind the flywheel and it is not a carbureted car. I really appreciate everyone's help with the puzzle.
  16. Hello- Looking to purchase a clip/bracket that retains wires on the valve cover on early 70s 2002. If you have one of these for sale, let me know. It is small enough you can drop in a regular envelope and put in mail. Any help is much appreciated.
  17. I tried to negotiate a deal to purchase this car abut 2 years ago. Nick was a nice guy and transparent about what the car needed. The rust on the car is extensive, in my opinion. At that time I estimated about 75k to bring the car back to original and repair the metal.
  18. I am guessing you didn't get much help here because most Turbo guys have all stock cars with no intercoolers. Have you considered trying to find someone who makes custom units? I am not sure about intercoolers on side by sides but have you considered looking at some of the units they might have? I am assuming they would be smaller in size. Would love to hear more about your car, if you want to post here or pm me about how your car is set up or will be set up. Good luck.
  19. Hello Turbo Community- I need some help identifying a few items, which I need to reinstall under the hood of my Turbo. Th car was disassembled a while back so parts could be sent out and zinc plated. I wasn't there during disassembly and there are a few pieces that look simple but I just can't figure out where they go. I have attached pictures with the items numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would help with reassembly. I can't wait to get the car back up and running. My 18 year old son and I are having some real good quality time with the car, it has been great.
  20. Just want to have adjustability so we can play with ride height and level it with the front. Are there other springs which would be better than stock? Before raising the front the car was less then 2 inches at teh swayer...not streetable.
  21. I recently purchased a 75 2002 out of California. The car is modified and the suspension sits much too low. We were able to adjust the fronts up but the rear springs were cut down, I was thinking about going with a set of close to stock springs with the Ground Control kit that makes the rear springs adjustable. Going this route will give us some adjustability to level the car out. Looking for any other suggestions or if you have had experience with the kit from Ground Control, it is a bit pricey.

  23. how much do you want for the door? Condition? Do you have any other parts? I can get a pallet from Fastenal pretty cheap.
