Lot #99,726. What a specimen, place your bets people! Edit: Just noticed who did the refurbishment...
  2. Went to a C&C at Four Till Four in Encinitas. Every 2nd Saturday is "Vintage Euro / JDM". Pretty eclectic turnout! It would be great to get some more local 02's together to attend the next one
  3. Waiting for a structural engineer to chime in... But this sounds like a bad idea.
  4. Welcome! Prepare yourself for years of enjoyment, punctuated by brief frustration, then more enjoyment. The FAQ is an incredible resource, enjoy!
  5. @JWT - @rstclark has an emotional connection to these particular bumpers, as he's the one that tucked them
  6. Went to the first BMWCCA event of the year at Garage Collective. Very cool spot, and my car was in good company! This tii was flawless Mandatory Turbo shot
  7. It appears you're missing one of the threaded rods on the lens

  9. Got my fuel pressure regulator from IE mounted and plumbed. The bracket that comes with the reg is sort of flimsy, but I managed to find an aluminum mount purpose built for the Filter King at a shop out of the UK. Overall, it's a pretty cool piece of equipment.
  10. Surely. Bluntech SS bumpers (without the necessary bodywork completed...yet)
  11. Selling my front and rear tucked diving board bumpers. Mounting shocks, bellows, bumpers are all included. I have a grab bag of the hardware, but I can't guarantee it's all there, you may need a few necessary nuts and bolts. Here's pics of the front and rear bumpers mounted, front and rear: I'm happy to send more pictures of the bumpers off the car for those interested. Local pickup only for now, will consider shipping if they don't sell in San Diego. Keep in mind, these were modified and tucked to fit my 02', I can't guarantee that they'll be plug and play for yours. Thanks!
  12. The tribe has spoken. Mount it to the emissions bracket it is.
  13. That was my original thought, but I may not have clearance for the gauge on top of the filter, like Andrew's setup. I'll test fit it when the gauge and mounting bracket arrives
  14. Didn't want to start another thread for this, but I'd like to remove the bracket on the firewall that held the emissions control equipment: Is it possible to take an angle grinder to it and cut it out, or will that leave a sizeable hole? There's also not a ton of room to maneuver back there. I just want a smooth surface where I can mount my Filter King.
  15. So you're referring to the eye of the MC itself, not the bolt holding it in?
  16. 3rd tow with this car... This time, I lost the clutch pedal and the whole pedal flopped towards the seat. At the time I didn't realize it, but the bolt holding the MC to the clutch pedal had worked itself free. Threw the bolt back in at home and it was good to go. There isn't a ton of purchase on the threads after I tighten the bolt down. Should I throw some loctite on there for good measure? At least the bumpers look good!
  17. Bumper works continues...Test fit the rear only to find that my exhaust sits too high and contacts the underside of the bumper, also causing the bumper to sit too high. Quick trip to my local muffler shop made for an easy fix. Also, served as a reminder that I need to learn how to weld!
