  6. Greetings! need the little black vinyl cover piece. It covers the screws. I have one in fair condition so if you have two in good condition I’d consider buying them both! Thanks. If it Helps this is a 68 1600-2 - they are not included on my 71 2002 Pictured
  7. What year is your car? I bought the full kit for my 1600-2. It turned out the transmission tunnel was more narrow then later models. As such for me I had to try and modify the pretty bracket that comes with the kit. Needless to say I cut to much and ended up modifying a standard 2002 trans brace (including the tabs from the Bluntech kit). It all worked out. I also put a plate on the inside of the car (On each side) where the tabs mount to spread the load. Everything else in the kit was plug and play. Good luck.
  8. I Have the booster bracket From a 71 2002. Will pull it and pm you some pictures.
  9. Welcome! Lots of threads And very helpful folks on the FAQ on this subject. I’m a relative newbie as well. Im not quite done my build but getting closer: For my 68 1600-2. I replaced the early pedal box, added a rebuilt 2002 booster, e21 master cylinder, new brake lines, e21 drum brakes in the rear and the 1977 e21 Single circuit calipers Vented discs on e21 hubs in the front. Got it all working last month. Car stops. But haven’t had it at speed yet to really check it out. Good luck with car feel free to pm me if you have any questions.
  10. So here is a picture or my 2002, e21 and 68 1600 visors. Stacked. You can see how the dirty 68 one has a different attachment point. I’m thinking my best option may be to creat a base so that the New reproduction 2002 visors have a place to snap in. Problem is I already put the darn screws through my new headliner at the 1600-2 position. Sigh.
  11. Thanks mike - mine are in very bad shape (cuts/cracks) I may need to buy some decent used ones if I can’t find an new alternative.
  12. Early car for sure. No side trim or side lights.

  14. These Enkei Apache V wheels were on my 1968 bmw 1600-2 the day it rolled off the flatbed an into my care. They don’t fit over my e21 calipers (Guess I would have needed a spacer) and I need the garage space back - so they are for sale! Size markings are pictured. 3 black Enkei center caps 1 with broken tang included Price is firm. prefer local pick up in Arlington VA. Tires are dry but holding air. Size is 205/60/R13 decent amount of tread, but old DOT BEEJ ANI 098 Shipping with or without the old tires will be extra cost. How much is the shipping? Do your homework. Use weight of 13lbs, with box dimensions of 22x9’ and my zip code 22204 to yours for an estimate.
  15. Greetings all i thought I had the solution to my need for sun visors. Several months ago I bought a set of new visors from a seller on eBay. They look great BUT they are not the right sizE for my 68 1600-2. Digging through my old parts cash, I was able to find what seems to be 1 of the old damaged visors. You can see from the pictures that the “snap in” point is not the same. I’ve read a few old posts on the FAQ but wanted to ask if anyone knows of a new source for this variation of visor? Thanks!! pS I’ll be selling my “new” Visors shortly Message me if you need a set.
  16. Apologies I’m not familiar with the auto transmission cars - suggest SearchOmg the forum.
  17. I’m happy to report that my getrag 245 is installed and shifting as intended by the engineers who designed it. I did use the Blunttech 5 speed trans kit . My overall assessment of the kit is that it’s probably the best you can buy. 1 note of Caution - the transmission tunnel of my 68 is more narrow then the the later models. The Blunttech kit comes with a nice looking transmission bracket / brace (with mounting tabs-see pic) for mounting the getrag 245 to the trans tunnel. Unfortunately for me it was to long. So like most red blooded Americans would have done I got out the grinder and went to work.... well let’s just say I was a bit hasty (I got the measurements wrong somewhat) and I ground off a bit too much. Upsetting because this bracket is one of the custom pieces in the kit! So I needed a work around. I contemplated calling blunt and ordering another one but instead I grabbed my old transmission brace and fitted the L shaped brackets to it. With modifications this ended up being the ultimate solution. Being a complete chicken I didn’t want to mount the trans in the wrong spot and so for several months I left this issue unresolved and the trans supported by the drive shaft. Out of the blue I received a phone call from the gentleman who rebuilt my engine. He was checking in to see if I had turned it over yet... nope. I explained my fears and apprehension of incorrectly mounting my beloved 5 speed in the wrong spot and he invited me to bring the car to his shop for a full review of my handy work. Elated that I was going to get my engine running, my transmission mounted and to have a veteran 02 owner/ builder/ racer review my novice assembly plans were made and the towtruck was called. i brought my hacked up Blunttech bracket, the e21 trans brace/bracket, and two stock 2002 braces. As mentioned above we ended up going with the stock 2002 part (modified to fit) and bolted to the trans tunnel. I did put a larger piece of metal in the car for the bolts to go through. Will weld it in at some point (see pic). This was done to add some strength to the the assembly, as I had read that some folks have had issues simply mounting the bolts to the thin metal trans tunnel. Also the bolts go in through the interior so the nuts can be fastened and unfastened from underneath the car. Tightening these was a two person job but once welded it should be easily done from under the car and without having to rip up the carpet. i include a pic of the Blunttech bracket and my modified version, a Video of first start- yes the engine turned over on the first crank - unbelievably. On on top of all this goodness 98% of my electronics are working. Hazards, reverse lights are on this list of things to get working today. And engine tuning! Anywho there you have it. 5A30D212-7C6A-4163-820D-4079905573B0.MOV
