  1. Hello, I bought 2 new securon seat belts, BOTH broke within 6 months. - I had a rag in by back seat and there was some dust on the dash, I grabbed it, leaned forward 8" and the seatbelt made a pop sound and would no longer retract. - The second one broke within 1 week, I was using it as normal and it just started to bind up. Obviously this is either extremely bad luck, a terrible product or I have them mounted incorrectly. I copied the same method the original seatbelts were mounted so I am not sure. They want me to pay the shipping cost to England so they can take a look... kind of pissed me off. Any chance someone can post a photo of how they have their seat belts mounted on the lower part of the back seat so I can compare. If they are mounted incorrectly I will not send them and admit fault, if they are the same then clearly they have a problem. Matt
  2. Any chance you can post smaller photos?
  3. Price:: 250 Hello, $250 OBO, would like it moved to the new owner before it dries out, afraid that will make a difference, but maybe it doesn't matter. I have a working 2002tii fuel pump for sale. I thought the issue I was having was with the fuel pump, installed a new one and the issue was exactly the same... so it was not the pump. it looks pretty clean so I am guessing that it is not the original, but maybe you can check the SN number on there for a manufacture date. I hooked it up and tested it, shoots fuel right through it just fine. Let me know if you have any questions. IT IS NOT DRY, STILL HAS FUEL IN IT, WHICH IS GOOD Matt
  4. I need this clock, working of course, can trade mine as a core if you fix them. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/topic/137262-74tii-bmw-clock-180-shipped-tii/
  5. yes, it has a fireball ignition on it, I know that I am probably just saying this to reasure myself, but it really runs well once it is on, has lots of power and the idle is quite steady
  6. Just admit youre wrong, it will make both of our days better
  7. Ha, once it is on and warm it seems to be fine, but turning it off sometimes makes it sputter, and sometimes turning it on when it's warm or cold is a pain, but sometimes it starts instantly... I know right Note that this is a car driven daily and has been for around a year
  8. Hello, - Pulled up the gas tank fuel screen and it looks fine - The car seems to run great at high RPM, I can get it going 80mph on the freeway no problem - I sprayed starter fluid along the lines and checked for leaks, no leaks found on any of the hoses - I Replaced the cold start valve today at 12pm, and this is what happened next -- Car started up pretty quickly, two turns no light pump on the gas pedle as usual (lately) -- Started the car up 2 hours later, turned on almost instantly -- Drove the car 6 mile and turned it off, the even though it was off it was sputtering and after a few times it finally turned off -- Could not get the car to start for a while, turned it over for a second about 20 times and paused each time to let the fuel pump run, finally got it started after a couple times of pumping the peddle and turning it over -- Drove another couple miles, turned the car off, no sputtering -- Grabbed milk at the store and it was hard to start again, I decided not to mess with it and just turn it over and pump the peddle, started after a couple tries -- Parked it at my house 2 miles away and it did the sputtering thing again What in the heck is going on
  9. Hello, So, the last gear in my odometer was broken, I pulled the gauges out, took it all apart, fixed it, and now the speedometer is not working. It sounds like it is rubbing, so I am going to pull it apart again and I think by centering the 'magnet' it will stop that rubbing sound. BUT The speedometer needle fell off... anyone know how much I need to wind that spring before I put it back on? I was hoping there would be terminoligy like. 'Let the spring unwind, attach needle at 80 MPH, wind back to the pin' Any ideas :-)
  10. I have used and abused mine for months, no sign of wear. Just wanted to share something positive, I know one bad review can turn people off. :-)
  11. Well my friend is a BMW tech and I gave him a list of things to do and that was on it. Not really his fault, I just told him to do it. I acutally just pulled off the air filter and it started a little faster... let you know tomorrow but I am not all that optimistic... although it would be magical if that was the issue.
  12. Hello, Within about 200 miles I have been experiecing a decrease in idol RPMs and 'quick starts'. When I get it running, USUALLY by giving it some gas when I turn the ignition, it runs really bad, sounds like it is trying to go but either starving from 02, fuel or spark... you know that baaaaahh sound, like if you have a dirt bike and give it full throttle when the choke is on and it is cold. More recently when I start the car it is like it is not getting enough fuel, I just took it to the shop and had... - Oil changed - OEM Spark plugs - OEM Wires - Transmission fluid changed - BMW Radiator fluid changed - New Thermostat - New fuel pump - New fuel filter - All new fuel lines, engine compartment and main line - Diff fluid changed I just picked it up from the shop and nothing is different. I was thinking about changing the coil and ignition, the light on the fireball ignition box is still showing so I am guessing that is not the issue. Any other ideas where to look?
