  1. 1463 round trip miles on the Inka car. I drove The Pig Trail out of Eureka this morning. There was no one else on it… that was fun. Home and de-bugged.. Ed Z
  2. Oh boy… I’m remembering this now. There’s 4 little springs and screws that suspend that top contact plate… I don’t have any pictures of it. I’ll check my blue manuals, perhaps there’s an exploded view.
  3. Had Jack Fahuna tweak the mixture and idle adjustments on the Inka this morning. Then we followed Bo on a fun drive out in the twisties. The car ran great. Lots of rain last night but woke to clear skies. Lots of cars here and everyone is helping others with their cars. Ed
  4. I can testify to this… you could hang meat in Barney’s Turkis car
  5. That’s fine… post my pictures of your cars. That’s fine….🤪 Looks like the Ceylon is standing still Ed Z
  6. I’ve got a couple old 4 speeds. I can mail one of those retainer bolts to you Ed Z
  7. I definitely need a job in the Longstone Safety Patrol Group... Ed Z
  8. I think I need a job in the Longstone Safety Patrol Group 🤔
  9. I figured you had seen that thread?? Here’s my Borranis with the Pirelli CN-36, 185/70 13s Ed Z
  10. Inka car got the exhaust system rerouted under the 5 speed bracket and the SpeedHut GPS speedometer got wired in tonight (unfortunately, the display is crooked in the screen 😕) I’ll live with it. Ed Z
  11. These are the 185/70 r14 tires on the Coupe. They ride great. I’d love to see my car in your adverts and web site. My friend took that picture and she also agrees!! I can send you the larger image file, too. Thanks for supporting us in the vintage world. Ed Z Here’s the 185/70 r13 for my 2002.
  12. Yes sir… I have the 14” CN36 on my ‘67, 2000CS. I put them on my ‘71, 2002 and loved them, so I got them for my Coupe. Great ride and good traction in the wet, too. Ed Z
  13. The chrome paints that are available are no match to actually having them re-chromed. The paint has almost no reflectivity, in comparison. Just look at my picture above and compare the two lights (I did NOT paint the round reflector...I painted the turn signal reflectors and the whole housings). The older, round reflector is so tired compared to the brand new, rectangular reflector. But even the round reflector is much more reflective than the surrounding paint. Trying to find a company that will replate these old reflectors is near impossible. The chroming process is just too expensive. Ed
  14. I went through all of this with my ‘67, some years ago. Full disassembly was a lesson in patience, for sure. Walloth & Nesch sells a weather strip that worked well for me. You can see their part number on the bag in this picture. I was very lucky to find a set of NOS housings for the large lamp…but not the small one. The rest of the housings got repainted with “chrome” paint. It all came out reasonably well. Good luck with all of it!! Ed Z
  15. Got the 5 speed swap mostly done. Took it for a test drive and it shifts great for an unknown box. I need to get the exhaust looked at (downpipe wouldn’t clear the bracket without some…massaging). Gotta wire up the SpeedHut GPS speedometer, too. I’m looking forward to the MidAm trip in it next weekend. Thanks again to Barney for the use of his place. Couldn’t have done it without your help. Ed Z
  16. let’s try not to get our two cars too close together. Yours is light years nicer than mine and it might get jealous. 😁 Ed Z Thanks again for being such a great friend and allowing me to use the shop and the lift
  17. Love that!!! I’ve always wanted a Granada NK sedan to go with my CS. Best of luck to you! Ed Z
  18. What a beautiful car! I've not seen that slave cylinder before, but I'm sure someone here has. Can you disassemble yours? If the bore is the same diameter as a standard slave cylinder, then, you could rebuild yours with new seals from a modern one? Ed
  19. I was able to dissect the old centering bushing and install it into the new driveshaft. First remove the circlip, then I lopped off the nose of the old 4 speed flange with a cutting wheel…being careful not to cut the spring inside. Then I could drive the press-fit portion back out the front using a socket as a punch. Cleaned it all up, added a little grease, and put it all back together in the new driveshaft. Kinda neat how it all functions…it’s a spring-loaded ball and socket joint, just like Tzei said. Ed Z
  20. I’ll remove the one that came out of the 4 speed driveshaft. Shouldn’t pose a problem. It looks to be a sealed bearing. I’ll have some pictures tomorrow
  21. Thanks Karl. I saw that once I found out the correct name of the part I’m hoping the driveshaft shop will be able help me. Otherwise I’ll have order one
  22. Is this 5 speed driveshaft missing something? It doesn’t have the centering piece that the 4 speed flange has. I would think that’s critical to attach to the output shaft of the transmission. The Getrag 240 I’m putting in definitely has the nose off the back of the output shaft to help line things up. Hope the driveshaft shop has something that will work, or can re-use the one off the 4 speed driveshaft. Edit: It’s called a centering bushing. We’ll see what the driveshaft has in stock tomorrow I need #3 here:
