im thinking about making my shifter a short shifter i was wondering if anyone knows how much longer the rod is than the stock one i dont wanna make it to long and have it interfere with the driveline, worst case i just measure but i have my driveline out to do the bearing and didnt wanna put it back in not together just to measure and have to take it back out again.

so the other day i felt something weird under my car right by the guibo area. Jacked it up to look and somehow the bolts that hold the guibo together are connecting with the gear selector shaft housing right were the gear selector seal is. I looked back and the carrier bearing is distroyed and letting the driveline drup enought that the bolts angle up and hit. So i have another bearing to install but i took the driveline off and the bolt that holds them together next to the bearing is some weird spiked looking bolt anyone know where to get the tool to do this?

unless tha balls are corroded and stuck out and you rip the mount down with it like i did.

im pretty sure its right it mounts in the body curve right below the bumper bracket holes its molded to the curve.

ya i took it with my phone i changed it to one i took with my camera, and im not sure what you mean by what time are those.

i went satin black today i also had a little bit of metallic green metal flake i had left over from another paint job i added in you can only notice in the sun. Still need to put the grille in to finish it off.

this is the only pic i got and i was wondering about the 5 speed part because the shifter bracket looks longer than usual.

i picked up a set of fiberglass fenders with molded in flairs so im going to be taking the ones off i have on now. I dont know what brand or style they are but i have seen the turbo ones they look pretty close. They are riveted on so ithere are holes for that im pretty sure they are fiberglass anyway wanted to know if anyone needed just a front set i was thinking $100 i know they go for a good amount new. If anyone has a rear spoiler or a turbo header lying around they want to trade for im interested also. -
so i swapped a motor and trans out of a 75 into my 70 to find out the trans had a cracked case and leaked. I am in the process of putting my old trans back on when i noticed the splines were different on the input shaft. Than looked and the clutch and pressure plate from the 70 were bigger and the clutch plate had slotted pads so i have to swap both those and the 70 flywheel over. I Was just wondering if anyone knew why they were different just year change or is one tranny more heavy duty than the other? 70 trans # 112472/6 75 trans # 337217/6/7

ok i parted out a car and the body went to my buddys for scrap ill try and make it by there tomorrow and see if he still has it around and get a picture of it for you.

you dont need the bumper as long as you mount the license plate somewhere. -

i think thats how you spell it anyone around the portland area have the rubber deal between the trans and driveline they dont want alot for. Mine decided to explode on me and i cant find one without ordering and right now its my daily driver

i have a set im in hillsboro you can come check out, both stainless and i think the passenger has the wind deflector you can call or text 971 226 3311 or send me an email for a time to come out

its not on the website but its there is was just at didnt see the year but its a square tail it has most suspension decent hood doors trunk has tan front seats rear door cards motor trans slot of other parts in almost the back left corner of the lot maybe 5 or 6 rows from the end hope it helps someone out
