    Hi, I am looking for a 74 or later instrument cluster with tach. Also I need the harness that connects it to the car large round 10(?) pin connector if someone has a scrap harness the can but it off. Thanks, Andy

    Hey Guys, I'll give you the background I can. My dad owned the car from 1984-2012. When he sold it the car ran fine, was super quick and had no overheated issues . For 10+ years my dad had the blower on it. I believe it runs 10 lbs of boost, head studs and turbo cutting ring head gasket. After my dad sold it the car traded hands one more time and I was contacted by the new owner who told me he was having this overheat issue from the time he purchased it. I purchased the car back and now I am trying to sort this issue out (which will probably require a engine rebuild) as well as do some additional upgrades so I can find a good home for the car. I have no idea what the previous owners may have done to the engine, so at this point I think a tear down is needed. Couple more inputs to the equation: Timing checked: 34 advanced at 3500 rpm Steam out the exhaust, but not sweet, and it is cold out, goes away when you rev it up. There is coolant,not water in the motor. Oil is not milky. Thanks for the help Andy

    Guys, Thanks again for the input. I ran some of the tests this evening with not much luck. Pressurizing each cylinder with the valves closed, no bubbles. Plugs pretty evenly black. Below is how much water I captured after 5 minutes of running from the valve cover vent, liquid seems clear. Any thoughts appreciated Thanks again, Andy

    Guys, Thanks for the input so far. FB73tii, when I drive the car and get on boost the temp gauge starts to climb towards hot, I've only let it go as far as 210 before I backed off. I know the history of the car (it was my dad's then traded hands and ended up in my possession) and it originally never did that. At idle and normal driving it stays between 180 and 195 (fan kicks on at 195 when the car is stationary). Thanks, Andy

    I am looking for some feedback, I purchased this car a few months back and I am trying to diagnose an overheat condition only on boost. The smoke you see is coming from the valve cover vent in the video is definitely steam but does not smell sweet (best I can tell). Car was up to full operating temperature and running for 15 or so minutes when the video was taken. Also photo of the inside of valve cover cap after running. Here what I can confirm: Compression 185-195 across all cylinders. Leak down 15 % on all cylinders. Oil is not milky. best I can tell no bubbles from radiator.     So I purchased a tii master cylinder on ebay. I'm upgrading from a stock master due to a Volvo BBK. It was suppose to be an ATE but an FAG showed up in a generic box. The part number on the side of the cylinder is S5339 9A2. Its about .150" bigger in diameter.Can anyone confirm this one is correct before I spend the time installing it? Thanks, Andrew

    These were in my car when I did the restoration, however I just installed Recaros. They come with seat tracks and mounting brackets and do position the driver on center with the steering wheel. The brackets use the existing 02 mounting holes. The drivers seat has a 1/4" tear in the upright Asking 250+ shipping OBO, I want them out of my Garage!
