  1. Thanks Mike the NK engine is now fitted to the 02 using the 02 mounts and brackets, and original NK radiator.
  2. Bump! Hi Mike, I was planning to swap my 67 NK 1800 engine into a 74 2002, but this morning I found put that the fan is hitting the radiator, what in your opinion is a solution to this issue? Thanks
  3. Thanks Nick, Unfortunately I was enjoying the Lynx Weber 45dcoe unconsciously when I lost control and hit a coconut tree in a curve :-(. The right fender & door (driver side) of the car were smashed and the chassis is bent beyond repair. Fortunately I escaped with only glass cuts and a broken nose and thankfully no one else was involved. The engine was spared in the accident that's why I decided to find a 2002 shell and use it as I only drove it 1500km before the accident. Well I think I learned my lesson as it was stupid to drive that fast in the streets knowing that the car needed a suspension rebuilt as the front shocks were tired. I understand why all of experienced enthusiasts preach rebuilding the safety elements first before upgrading the engine power. Regards, Omar
  4. Thanks for the replies guys, its certainly priced high but unfortunately here in Thailand I've been looking for some cheaper and non modded cars but they are all priced higher than 5000usd, even without anything rebuilt or upgraded. I know at least the history of this one from the PPO who did all those mods. I'll give it a shot and make a Hotrod out of it sorry for the purists :-). Any comments on if the getrag 5speed 240 from the 85 engine will fit my old 67, 1800 block? Thanks
  5. Hi Guys, I am buying this car to redeem myself after wrecking my newly rebuilt NK 1800 last week in a bad accident :-(, that fortunately spared me and the fresh engine but the chassis of the car is dead beyond repair. Some info about the car (please see pics below): Pros (I think): VIN 2770611 (used to be a euro 74 tii) Rebuilt rear end with m3 diff 02 turbo dash in ok condition oem turbo flares + spoiler in driver condition Nice seats (may be not period c but super comfy) nice double headlights grill. OEM rebuilt suspension. Nice Nardi Wheel (Alpina logo i think from e30) relocated battery in trunk New tires with BBS 14 Price 3000usd Cons: some rust under, on frame rails and tire well no back seats but huge sound system instead modified center console. Paint falling of in engine bay Heavily modded trunk with woo panel etc Overall paint is tired but I plan to wrap it in some army green Vinyl and give it a rat rod look. Now the question is should I keep it with the engine inside of it at the moment an L jet tronic 1.8 m10 (1985), or should I drop my freshly rebuilt 1800 engine with Lynx manifold weber 45, new korman head with 292 shrick and new mahle pistons in it? Will it be possible to mate it to the 5 speed trans (getrag 240) from the 1.8i engine? Your feed back will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  7. Thanks for the input guys, I think i rather wait for a better opportunity though the owner says it has only surface rust and no cancer which need to be verified. The car is about 800 miles away and don't feel like wasting my time on a bucket of rust. (if i dont find a better opp., might give it a chance :-) here is below some other 1602's and 2002's for sale in the LOS (TH) enjoy: http://www.thaiscooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=677112 http://www.thaiscooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=626853 http://www.thaiscooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=541446 http://www.thaiscooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=543858 http://www.thaiscooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=677703 let me know your favorite :-) PS: Nick I already contacted Somchai on the UK forum see if he knows any opportunity I cross my fingers for some good 02. 9. Hi Mcmil, I'm OK with the price if you throw in a driver condition kidney grill, mine is all full of dings and scratches :-). how much would be shipping to the following address: 86/24 Moo 2, Soi Wasana, Viset- Nai Harn Rd., T. Rawai, A. Muang, Phuket 83130, Thailand please send me an email to the following address: omarelmhammedi@yahoo.com Thanks
  10. Thanks for the info, But I live in Thailand and It would really be helpful if I could source a similar screw here instead of ordering it from these guys. If anyone know what kind of screw it is (eg: size type) would really help. Thanks
  11. Hi Fellas, I have luckily got my hands on a ramflow lynx manifold but, juts realized that it is missing that screw that connects the manifold to the brake booster. Anyone has any idea what kind of screw is that? or is it specific to the lynx manifold? please see pic it is the screw on the right of the manifold. thanks
  12. Are these sold already? please let me know, thanks.

  16. I really need these parts to complete my engine rebuild. the timing chain I need is for early long block NKs. Thanks
  17. Hey BJ haven't received your timing chain yet, but have received the one I ordered from Jaymic in the UK it has the right part number but is still too short, I think its because my car has the long block (with longer stroke smaller bore) as in early NKs and that might be the issue? i really have no idea if what I'm saying is right but if anyone can help please let me know.
  18. Thanks bj could u please tell me how much woul be the cost of shipping through the fastest option, I really need this part urgently.
  19. Hi BJ, Thanks for your reply, I am pretty sure its the wrong chain as its probably the one for the bmw e30 he used. I'm trying to source the right chain here but if I cant find it, I might take the one you have yes I know shipping is a b..ch but the love for the NK and the excitement of having it done soon, prevails :-). Omar
  20. Hi Nk Fellas, My mechanic just started putting my engine together and realized that the timing chain was too tight I dont know to what it is due, as it is him who sourced the chain and may be didn't get the right one ? its short by about 2 links if you have any advises or think I should get a new one please let me know. Thanks
  21. Hi BJ, I'm interested in the following items for my 1800 from 1967: . Wiper linkage and if you have the wiper arms as well. . 1 round shift boot. . the NK 1800 tail lights. I live in Thailand at the following address: (hope you don't mind oversea shipping) 86/24 Moo 2, Soi Wasana, Viset- Nai Harn Rd., T. Rawai, A. Muang, Phuket 83130, Thailand. Please send me the quote including shipping through USPS EMS. omarelmhammedi@yahoo.com Thanks
  22. Yes I'm planning to do the whole top white(like the rally assist car) roof + hood trunk and sides, and also a fine red line that runs all around the car where the chrome trim was. Dark Blue(metallic) + White + red = BMW MOTORSPORT :-) Please if anyone know the paint code for the same blue used on the F1 car from BMW Sauber team ?
  23. After a night of meditation :-), I finally decided to go White/Navy blue combo, blue is my favorite color and here in the heat of the tropics the white hood and trunk will be perfect, then for the wheel options I'll go for the BBS RS with white centers :-), I have a black interior at the moment any suggestion on a new color for the interior? I'll post pictures as soon as the car is ready. PS: a bit out of subject I have a Nardi 360mm wooden wheel but no hub any of you guys happen to have one FS?
  24. Thanks for your reply Nick, the car is actually gonna be my daily driver and occasionally I'm planning to take her on the track, I'm planning to lower the suspension but just a hint. BTW ( I'm going to try fitting the e30 koni strut inserts to the NK legs, see if it works using e30 top mounts) Yes I read the post on the UK forum with the original 2 tones combos for the NK's, but I'm going the 02 road by painting the hood trunk and sides in Satin Black, and then I hesitate between Inka, colorado or golf yellow?? hehe tough choice.
