    These sound like a great idea. Any plans for a front turn signal / running light conversion? Why no LED for reverse lights?

    Anyone tried the Pennzoil Syncromesh stuff? Says its supposed to be compatible with yellow metals which is my understanding why we can't use GL-5. Although it says for GM and Chrysler does it really matter?

    Thanks for the specs. I had a nightmare of a time finding 13" tires last fall so I want to upgrade. I didn't even notice your location cause I was too busy admiring the car. I am in Newington. You?

    Very nice. I like the rims. Similar to the Maglites but much less expensive. What offset do you have? No fender modification I assume?

    Well the ones I have are awful. I have two sets. On one set the chrome is cracked on both due to accident and other set from a parts car is all rusted on the inside. I am thinking about eventually having new lenses made, so I care more about the condition of the chrome, but I need something decent for the time being. Can you take pictures?

    The first time I noticed the smell and smoke it was on the passanger side. I took it out again tonight and the smell was still there but not as bad. I will spend some quality time with it this weekend and check everything mentioned so far. I will probably have a bunch more questions after that.

    Thanks for the feedback. I have a technical background, but have not worked on cars a that much, at least compared to most here. That being said I am willing and eager to learn and this seems to be the best place to learn other than in the garage getting the hands dirty. So all the help is appreciated and no offense taken! I may be lugging somewhat since I am just driving around in my neighborhood. I am trying not to piss my neighbors off since the would easily be able to identify me in the only 02 for miles. I don't remember it ever doing that when it was on the road years ago though. Is that something that could change after sitting? I am definitely going to go through adjustments and tuning this weekend and see what I come up with. Interesting about the vacuum booster activating the brakes.

    I just did some work on the brakes which included taking the brake master cylinder off the car. It sat light that for a few weeks probably. I bled the brakes and all was good, but I did not bleed the clutch. Could this be causing the issue?

    I am a new member and this is my first post. I have a '76 02 with 96k original miles on it. This was my Dad's car that he bought new in '76. I have recently taken it on as a restoration project. It has been sitting dormant for about 10 yrs now, only started up now and then, but not driven. Despite that fact she runs pretty well. I have been trying to take it out for short drives a few times a week and have noticed something rather alarming. Under acceleration it is fine, but when the gas is released or when maintaining a coast the car kind of jerks along. Upon applying gas it stops. This happens in 1, 2, and 3, gears (have not had it up to 4th yet). After one drive last week I popped the hood to find some smoke coming from the bell housing area and a terrible smell. This car is pretty much stock except for a 32/36 Weber. The air pump just broke so it still has half the EGR system. Can anyone provide some leads on what I can start looking at to find the problem. I did a search on the forum and elsewhere and was not able to come across anything relevant. Thanks in advance for the support. This group is great!
