  1. I got lucky before Curt Ingraham (Silicon Garage) passed away. I had heard about his 3-row cores and bought one. Then like conkitchen, my local radiator guy put together the new core with the original tanks. No cooling problems since then. Cheers, Carl
  2. when you get yourself a new Isetta and tell your trusted mechanic that all you want is some new tires ...... and he decides a little extra wheelbase might be helpful .......
  3. Back in the day, I made my own. --- a section of metal brake line, gently bent to fit --- the fittings on each end: JB Welded into place. No problems !! Cheers, Carl
  4. John76, hmmm, that goes over my head, I can't visualize all that. How about this ...... If I lay the relay down onto the table, with the lettering side facing Up so that I am looking down at it ....... ---- will the "indexing tabs" be facing Up and "looking" at me, so that I can see them ?? Cheers, Carl
  5. I've still got the no-dashboard-blinker blues and remain glued to this thread ........ Cheers, Carl
  6. Thanks Much !! I never even thought of a wiper relay. And for some reason, all the words I wrote never got posted in the original post. So I'll try it again. MY CURRENT PROBLEM: when I removed the relay from it's connector, that little plastic piece stayed in the connector, so I removed it. Then when ready to re-install the relay into the connector, I suddenly realized: Which Way does that plastic piece go ?? It can be installed onto the relay's 6 lugs with the "indexing tab" pointing toward the lettering, or away from the lettering. Thus, it is possible to install the relay "backwards." And, if the relay were to be installed backwards, might that burn-out something ?? SO, the big question: does that "indexing tab" point toward the lettering, or away from the lettering ?? Cheers, Carl
  7. Tarkan, I'm just "blending" a 3-year-old adventure with the picture that you took !! Cheers, Carl
  8. SO, it's the under-the-dash flasher relay. I'll pull it out and clean all the internal contacts !! Thanks Much !!!! Cheers, Carl
  9. AMAZING ...... Perfect timing to find this thread !! I have exactly the same problem as NYNick: for the right-hand side: the dashboard blinker indicator light blinks once or twice, then stops. The right-side blinker lights outside are blinking just fine, but the dash light stops. ---- A couple of day ago the problem started. ---- Yesterday everything worked just fine, no problem. ---- Today, the problem is again there. Cheers, Carl
  10. Tarkan, check out this 2002 in Sydney ....... 3 years ago today I was enjoying a Sunday Roast in this place ......... Cheers, Carl
  11. Tarkan, Great Video !!!!!! Cheers, Carl
  12. a bit west & north of Bangkok ........ Cheers, Carl
  13. That's the place !!!!!! Cheers, Carl
  14. Don't worry about "self-inflicted error" ........ my big fear is Brand New Parts that ain't worth much. So with a little thoughtful engineering, such defects can be easily overcome. Here we see an exhaust hanger that failed after a mere 3 months ........ note especially the class-act touch: double-nutted for safety !! Cheers, Carl
  15. Once you're up and running, we need curbside pictures to prove it !!!! Cheers, Carl
  16. 2002iii mentioned my favorite place: 2002AD The shop is local to me, so I can do "local pickup" of whatever I need, then head over to my favorite place for lunch. Cheers, Carl
  17. When your trusted mechanic calls up and says, "Well, just like you asked me to do: I replaced all those rusted-out frame rails with good solid steel."
  18. Just do like we do here in SoCal: think "original" ....... Cheers, Carl
  19. When your most trusted mechanic calls you and asks in a nervous voice, "Uh, when was it that you last had your brakes worked on ??" Cheers, Carl
  20. when your trusted mechanic calls up and says he can't replace your muffler tomorrow .......... or the day after ......... Cheers, Carl
  21. just sold today ....... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-bmw-2002-turbo-9/ Cheers, Carl
