  1. So, if any of the DC/Nova locals wanna go cruise somewhere on Thursday Eve, Friday, or Saturday- let me know. My car seems to be selling albeit cheaper than expected and I want to do one last drive. I think I'm getting it tuned really nicely on Thursday- to a point thats better than ever. I figure thats the FAQer way of doing things. I will introduce the new owner to the forum and want them to have as good an experience as I did with the car and forum. If anyone wants to join me on my drive, let me know.

Or is that bad form after its "technically" sold? Honestly, I'm glad just driving it to a bar in Old Town and drowning my sorrows- even though I'll have another one this year. :-)

  2. Its gorgeous, but I'm with Esty. At that price, it should have the right door cards and seats. I'm offering the right door cards and a set of late model door cards for 1/3 of that price. lol. I do wish my car were as pretty, though.

  3. Late on this one, but just saw the post- I like it.

    I am 31

previous cars in order of ownership:

    '76 2002 (Granatrot)

    '88 Scirocco 16V (Black)

    '90 Corrado G60 Stage 3 (Silver)

'98 GTI Driver's Edition (Ginster Yellow)

    '97 Acura 3.2TL (Black)

    '87 Isuzu Trooper (red/white)

Malibu (company car for a couple years)

    '99 Land Rover D2 (Gold)

    '99 Lexus ES300 (Gold)

    '05 Lexus LS430 (Flint Grey)

    '95 GS300 (Black)

    '73 2002 (Chamonix)

'00 M5 (Silverstone) - still not exactly mine, but close. ;-)

  4. have a '73 finished in Chamonix with Marine Blue interior. I need the cash for my business, so I must sell. I have spent a lot of money on the car without ever considering selling the vehicle. Had I known that I would sell the car, I would not have invested so much. I paid top dollar for the best parts and accessories I could find.

Lots of other work completed, but not listed. Many other new and spare parts not listed. Car was rust free when I bought in in CA, but some surface rust has appeared around paint flaws. The rust is so minimal, that I probably didnt need to mention it. I've spent about $14K on purchasing the car, service, parts, etc. This car is solid. I'm asking $8,000, but glad to discuss any offers. Please email me for further info at xlittlejohnx @ yahoo

Again, can't believe I'm doing this. Sad day. :-(

  5. i see a duckbill. from a vw? painted?

Not sure what its from, but it looks like to previous owner made it. It is painted and seems pretty basic. I like it, so never took it off. :-)

  6. I have two functional tachs and a $20 debt. ;-)

Still can't figure out why I can't get the tach to work when installed, though. I also need to get the timing adjusted. The mechanic that I paid to install and adjust everything might have bailed on the adjustment aspect...otherwise, its still a strong runner. Might be able to use some help if you're interested. :-)
