Well, I’m still on the fence, Jim. If I find a good home it will go and if not it will stay. I’m tempted to get a 3.0csi to replace it at some point.

Looks like a nice survivor especially if that paint is original as I suspect it is. I’m loving the wheels to.
Definitely not all original, but it’s a survivor and was taken care of over the years. Those are my favorite wheels I have for it. They’re absolutely perfect as are the Cinturatos mounted to them.

Wow, what a nice car. Good luck with the sale I bet you will have a buyer soon. My 1600 has a hard time starting if it sits too long. A little gas poured down the carb will get it to fire right up.
Thank you! Paint is far worse than it looks in the pictures, but it’s a very nice and solid car. I’m sure it would fire up with a little gas in the carb.
If I find a good home I’ll let it go, but otherwise it will sit comfortably and I’ll wait for time to enjoy working on when the kids are a bit older.

Also, paint looks way better in the pictures. Excluservice also mounted the electric fuel pump to the passenger side shock tower which was kind of a blower for me when I saw it. I would relocate it and the shock towers are perfect.

Price: $15000Location: Alexandria, VA
Description:I have a very nice Nevada 1600-2 that I haven’t had the time to enjoy. Had about $8K in service at Excluservice in Rockville, MD prior to parking it. Also had a new clutch done at Martin Motorsports in Alexandria, VA. Fired it up regularly, but after sitting for a bit it didn’t fire up last try. I’m sure I can get running just fine again before selling. Had the front cover replaced at Excluservice in Rockville, MD along with numerous other things for the last big service, but the front cover still seems to be leaking. I’m sure I’m way past their warranty on the work, so haven’t contacted them about it. Paint is not in good shape and the floor pan behind the drivers seat needs to be replaced.
The car has uninstalled door panels from Aardvark that are still in their packaging. Has the e9 rear seats and records from aardvark as well. They’re all mint. I’ve owned a few since the 90s, so I have an extensive parts list that I could possibly part with, but doubt let much of it go.
This car has a binder of records going back to the original owner’s cancelled check for his deposit when ordered new. West coast car until I bought it.
At my $15K asking price I’m losing money, but still suspect I could be asking too much. Hopefully I’m asking too little. I could let it sit for several more years, but I’m thinking it is best for me to buy a fully done car when I have the time to enjoy it. I’m tearing down the garage soon as well.
I’m attaching a few pictures, but can get more detailed shots as well. I would rather send it to the next owner with the steel wheels, but have a couple sets of restored and rather rare wheels as well.

I miss her often!

Fixed all the leaks and got it mechanically sorted. Still haven’t touched the body or interior, life has gotten in the way as usual. I do often toss around the idea of getting one that’s already perfect. You will certainly be first to know, Geoff! Hope all is well!

Too bad the paint is broken, but one of those "paintless dent removal" folks can get the dent out so that you won't be able to find it. Then you can try touching up the spot with extra paint and if the paint doesn't look good, have it touched up professionally. A good "spot in" person can make it undetectable. Lucky for you Nevada doesn't fade very much.
My E30 went through a Kansas hailstorm that broke the windshield and made the car look like a golf ball. Our local dent removal guy got all the dents out (some 5-6" in diameter) so that you can't find 'em--and didn't crack the 27 year old paint...and it's fun to watch!

I do feel lucky having Nevada! The hood is a wreck, I have paint peeling on the roof, and need to replace the floor pan behind the drivers seat, so this just adds one more small detail to tend to. Purred like a kitten once started, though! Confident I could make it to the Vintage, but the kids don’t allow the time.

Decided to get the car out for the first time this season and I managed to drop my motorcycle on a spot that’s probably much more difficult to repair than a door or front fender. Fortunately, this old girl needs lots of love from a body shop anyway. I’m still slightly devastated since I’ve never made a mistake like this before.

Just ordered! I have a restored set of Borrani's on my Moto Guzzi, so this shirt is perfect.

Thanks for the great description and info, Jim! Congrats on the new E30 as well! I'm still gonna try to find someone to look over my shoulder as I do it. If I could convince you, Grice, Marshall, or all of you to stop by we could have a great little get together. Maybe I could entice people with the world's best crabcakes and some good beers? ?

Would anyone local be willing to help me install a 123 Bluetooth distributor and new coil? I can't seem to find my old shop manual and would really like someone more competent than myself to guide me through this. My 1600-2 needs a few more miles on it before winter and its blocking my M5 from moving, so I'm kinda in a jam here. Of course, I will provide a great meal and booze.

Looks nice but color looks more like Manila than Sahara
Completely agree with you on that

Is the chrome dash correct? Thought they were only on earlier build dates. Looks like a nice car.

Very Nice.
Is his name really Frank Franker?
Center caps are totally available but not sure about those emblems
PLS...Polished Lip Syndrome. I used to have that 'condition'...bad. Somehow
I fell out of love with polished lips. ...but lately I'm having relapses seeing them on
02's
Not sure that’s his real name, but he does go by it. He’s gonna send another center cap. Not sure how it broke because they were very well packaged.
I’m back in the polished rim look as well right now.

Well, these beauties just arrived! First one has broken clips on the center cap, but I’m sure that will be taken care of. Can’t wait to see these in the car!

I've seen similar postings recently in The Vintage forum on Facebook and thought I would provide another update here. My first set is on the car and they look great. While the second set was really delayed, I just received tracking information today with expected delivery mid next week. Frank takes a while, but his product and prices are worth the wait in my opinion.

No thank you, Jim. I would love to find some 1600ti manifolds, though. ?
