  1. Early 70’s vintage, period correct (particularly for square light cars - frequently mounted under the front bumper). Cibie was generally accepted as the best manufacturer of accessory lights during this period - the series 35 lights have not been in production for some time. Excellent condition except for one cracked lens – near perfect stainless / chrome, mounting hardware. Single replacement lenses are sometimes available through Daniel Stern Lighting www.danielsternlighting.com/products/products.html ; new old stock lenses in both yellow and clear are also frequently available through e-Bay vendors https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cibie-type-35-Airport-genuine-clear-fog-lens-assemblies-pair-black-bezel-new-/223102867726?oid=222711866535 (I’d buy a pair of yellow lenses and save the one good one as a spare in case of a rock hit) $30 obo, buyer pays shipping NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. Thanks to a recent heart attack, I'm having to speed up a long-planned downsize to a much smaller house and must clear out a 40 year accumulation of parts (there won’t be space to move them to a new place, and there are medical expenses to offset as well). Because of the wide variety of parts involved, listings have been posted on multiple web boards (Pelican Parts, The Samba, Steve’s Nova Site, 2002 FAQ, etc) and I may not have time to check every board for responses several times per day. Parts have been priced on a “best guess” basis – if you see something of interest but feel the asking price is too high, please forward an offer – everything listed has to go.
  2. Two bottles in original packaging (BMW part # 51 91 1 813 067), ordered through the local BMW dealership around the end of 2001, still in the original special order delivery bag. Never used, paint still liquid inside bottles. Only place I can find these listed is at FCP Euro with a price of 3.53 euros (roughly $4 US) each. www.etkbmw.com/bmw/EN/search/selectCar/E9/Cou/BMW+3%252E0CS/USA/03_1862 $5 obo, buyer pays shipping NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. 3. Did this conversion way back around 2001 when I first bought my '69 sunroof (which has since been sold). The new center panel was fabricated from textured ABS plastic sheet; the gauge tilt tubes are cut down ABS plumbing fittings. New underdash panels were also fabricated from sheet ABS, with speaker mounts fabricated from 4" ABS drain pipe and grilles. The Lift-out cup holders were fabricated from 4" ABS drain pipe fittings
  4. Actually, the Recaro adapter brackets (the metal rails that are bolted length-ways to the bottoms of the seats in the photos) bolt to the '02 seat rails which in turn bolt to the '02's fixed seat bases. These seats and adapters were bolted to the stock rails in my '69 sunroof for a number of years, then the stock seats were bolted back onto the rails before I sold the car (buyer wanted the stock seats). As mentioned above, very simple job - should take no more than an hour to do both seats, even if you've never done it before.
  5. New as received, never installed on an engine $75 obo, buyer pays shipping (bracket will fit in a USPS 3 day priority medium shipping box, shipping cost should be $13.65 inside the US) NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. 6. Just saw your follow up post - I got a purchase e-mail a couple minutes after posting the ad from a fellow back east, but he hasn't forwarded payment yet. I've let him know that I need payment and a shipping address by 6 pm pacific time if he wants to proceed - I'll let you know after 6 one way or the other.
  7. Anyone know what the most recent pricing is on Dave's a/c compressor brackets? Tried to PM him, says he can't currently accept messages.........
  8. One new in original box, never installed, manufactured in Germany – part # on box 7.20876.51; Current new price about $62, One used in good working condition when removed $40 for both, buyer pays shipping (3 day USPS priority mail should be about $13.65) NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. 9. Price drop - Used, working properly when removed from engine several years ago, in dry storage since, hot water choke – should probably be disassembled and have a rebuild kit installed to insure all gaskets and seals are good prior to use. Includes linkage rod and base gasget (not pictured) Reduced to $75 obo from $125, buyer pays shipping NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. 10. Early right (passenger) side Euro turn signal Fair condition – faded lens, good chrome on face with some very minor pitting, visible pitting on upper surface – probably not a unit you’d want to use on a restored or freshly painted car, but good for replacing a damaged unit on a “patina” car $20 obo, buyer pays shipping NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. 11. Very good condition except for one small chip in rim on the left side unit, reflectors need polishing/re-silvering (reflector surfaces are dull); both clear plastic lenses behind the taillight bulbs are clear and intact; both date stamped 4 Apr 1972. Sell as a pair - $30 obo, buyer pays shipping (can be shipped USPS 3 day priority flat rate @ $13.65) NOTE: Please e-mail responses / inquires to oldcarguy6547@gmail.com rather than responding to this post or sending a PM. 12. Update - for those who wanted to see what shape the original factory vinyl was in under the sheepskins, I've posted a couple of additional photos with the sheepskins removed. The patches that are visible in the added photos were sewn into the seats to protect the fresh foam from chafing when the sheepskins were installed - there were no split seams or other damage to the center panels (either back or bottom on either seat) so there were no repairs made to those panels. Pair of E21 Recaros & high-end custom fitted “Ramshead” sheepskins with mounting brackets & factory headrests – ready to drop into an ‘02. Seats completely rebuilt in late spring of 2002 (foam replaced, new Aardvark suspension straps, etc, vinyl upholstery seams resewn and damaged areas patched). High density foam wedge added under bottom cushion to raise the seating surface (I’m 6’2” & weighed about 235 at that time - the bottom cushion was too low and the seats were too narrow across the rear of the bolsters for me to be comfortable for long periods), foam can easily be lifted out. Custom fitted Navy blue sheepskins installed by Ramshead in Sonoma CA (cost new was a bit under $700) & seats installed in my ’69 sunroof prior to driving to O’fest in Colorado in summer 2002. Car was driven about 14K miles after seats installed & was always garaged, seats were removed before car was sold about 3 years ago; have been stored covered in my home office since. Sheepskins are a near perfect color match to ’02 Navy blue vinyl which is a very dark blue – would be best in a car with that color interior, although they probably wouldn’t look out of place in a black interior, either. Prefer to sell seats and sheepskins together, might separate if someone wants just the sheepskins. $1100 obo complete; prefer local pickup, delivery possible in Sacramento / SF Bay area; if shipped, buyer pays crating and shipping. 14. One pair of early '02 door threshold plates - dark gray plastic, minor scuffing but no cracks or other damage - sell as a pair, $25 obo
  15. Price drop - Removed from a good running engine, excellent used condition with no looseness or play in shaft bushings, good Beru VK 355 FP cap & Bosch 1 234 332 300 rotor – BMW part # 0 2 311 188 002. 16. Bottle, pump and bracket in virtually as-new condition – no leaks, cracks or damage to bottle, cap or pump, pump motor runs and pump works properly, no rust or corrosion on bracket. Per Real OEM, cost of new bottle is aprox. $40 U.S., pump and bracket are about $115 (if you can find either one). Part # on bottle 1350644.2, part # on pump is 021/088; part numbers in Real OEM are 6 1 661 350 871 and 6 1 661 358 328. Will not separate, $110 obo, buyer pays shipping. 17. Still have 5 '02 Hot Wheels cars if anybody's interested - 1 white and 3 dark blue (all still in the original blister packs), plus one orange with no packaging that's had the graphics removed and has been detail painted (silver bumpers, black and silver grills, tail lights headlights and trim painted, etc. $5 each / $20 for all five, buyer pays shipping
  18. 3.64 ratio series I long neck diff - good condition, but has bearing noise, will need to be gone through. Relatively rare diff, believe only used in 1968 and early 1969 2002's up to chassis number 1664760. If you have an early 1600, want to get away from the low geared 1600 diff and don't want to swap in a short-neck rear subframe, diff and driveshaft, this is the diff to use. $75 obo, prefer local pickup, delivery possible in the Sacramento - SF Bay area (can ship if necessary, buyer pays shipping and crating - these are heavy, bulky units - crating and shipping will probably cost at least $100) Note: I've been told that it's possible to install an E21 LSD diff carrier in the long neck case with long neck gears, but I've never done it - I also have an E21 LSD diff (which also has bearing noise) that I got with the intent of building a 3.64 LSD for my early '69 sunroof, but that car was sold a couple of years ago - if anyone's interested in buying both we can discuss a bundled price for the pair.
  19. Brand new, never installed - these are the correct cables to use with an E21 "big brake" upgrade using the larger 320i rear drums and backing plates. $35 for the pair (current retail per Real OEM is approx $26.00 per cable). Buyer pays shipping
  20. This may be of some benefit to those folks who are keeping their cars near stock / period correct and are continuing to run 13" wheels, but have had difficulty finding appropriate 13" tires (I got hugely frustrated trying to find more or less period correct 185/70x13's for my '69 with 5.5" Ronal alloys before selling it a couple of years ago). Last night, I ran across an ad for Lucas Classic Tire in a recent Hemmings Classic Car magazine - ad said they carry 185/70x13 Pirelli Cinturato CN 36's (http://www.lucasclassictires.com/185-70VR13-PIRELLI-CINTURATO-CN36-1857013CN36.htm?categoryId=-1) - not real cheap @ $149 per tire, but they are period correct, and a whole lot less than Coker wants for Michelin XDX's ($343 per tire).
  21. Trans is sold but has not been picked up as of 5/9/17 - if the sale falls through for some reason I'll remove the sold tag. Max - glad to hear the E21 is doing well - it sure was bulletproof during all the years and thousands of miles I depended on it.......
  22. Have most of the hard to find parts needed to convert a US spec 4 cylinder E21 320i to an M20 6 cylinder as installed in the Euro factory E21 323 models - prefer sell as a package for $850 obo; will separate. Local pickup or possible delivery in the Sacramento / SF Bay area only on the transmission; other parts can be shipped at buyer's expense. I sold my E21 a couple of years ago, and don't plan to buy another one. E21 M20 factory front crossmember E21 M20 factory motor mount pylons E28 528e Getrag 265 "big six" overdrive 5 speed with removable M20 bellhousing & shift linkage (fairly rare transmission / bellhousing combination - as far as I know, only used in the 528e and possibly the 524td - bulletproof transmission behind an M20). This transmission was pulled from a very clean, 130K mile 87 528e several years ago, bench tested, and has been in covered storage since. Please note: this trans is considerably larger than the M20 bellhousing Getrag 245 OD 5 speed used in the factory E21 323, and will NOT fit an '02 trasmission tunnel without significant modifications E28 528e factory alloy rear transmission crossmember E21 "big spindle" struts & hubs (these were used on all 323's as well as 78-80 320i 4 cylinder cars) Set of 4 used Bilstein sport strut inserts and rear shocks
