How wide is that manifold? I could hook you up with a nice Carbon airbox if you were interested......would look nice.

Oh yeah, well that extrudabody thing is about twice as expensive as what I was offering up (little more fab, but not much.....+ more reward), more set-up for carb to EFI or EFI to EFI than turning in to mechanical fuel injection type set-up...both would require additional work to get the mechanical fuel injectors to fit
-
Oh, I just noticed you were looking for a tii....N'duh, forget my post, would be better suited to someone with a carbed or 318i'ed megasquirt set-up
-
I've got a system partially made up (would require work by you, but a lot of the hard stuff is done / engineered / made etc) if you'd be interested in buying. It would consist of GSXR750 ITB's (bore of 38mm I believe), the aluminum mount brackets that you see with aluminum machined couplers welded in. The GSXR throttle bodies slide right in with silicone gasket material to seal it up....you slide an alignment rod in through the bores to keep them aligned and whammy. Depending on if you want Bosche injecters some machining of the injector bosses could be required (I have a special drill and jig......I could do this for you).
Wouldn't take a ton of work, would look better (in my opinion) than the hose and hose clamp set-ups most do with these motorcycle ITB's. You'd also need to make little adapters for the linkage (I could show you what I did with pointers)
Here is a picture of the set I have already made:

Search for 77e21 on google, this guy has developed ITB's for the M10 more than anyone that I know of......and I have been highly interested (failed attempt and second attempt coming soon) for a long time.
FYI, you will read in there, but he has worked with the megasquirt code guys on coming up with an ITB setting for the Megasquirt 3 (latest and greatest) that takes Alpha N tuning and Speed density and combines in to 1 easy to use and set up table (well easy as in you don't have to set up two whole separate tables, 1 for each)
Good luck, have lots of patience if you do it, and make sure you know WHY you are doing it, most cases a 318i manifold set up will work just as good / better and be a whole heck of a lot easier to set up and get going right! If it's for the COOL factor of having ITB's..... then go with the 318i, you'll like it better (ask how I know)

They are .25 oversized

I think there is too much demand to totally forget 13" size by the manufacturers......they might end up costing a bit more than $50 a tire....but there is enough vintage/classic demand that SOMEONE will make them I would think.
I have some that I have never tried out......bought slightly used for $100 for the set!

Nice, Love the Estates, almost got one of those but thankfully passed on it as it had LOTS of rust......which I would have been way over my head on!
Tough to prioritize between the 2 eh! I was putting all my Cortina money in to getting the 2002 running well again not long ago....back to the Cortina for me though.

Looking at that "Folvo engine", it looks like it is a LOT like the Cosworth YB turbo engine......I am pretty sure same block......and 16V head design must be very similar...
Makes it a lot cheaper than importing a YB from England!!
Would be fun to put in my Cortina GT and put a Cosworth Cam cover on!

Did you update the E24 rear seat install? I checked it out on your blog to see how easy it is and didn't see the full instructions......this is something I have thought about doing.

I'd have to say when it comes to Schnitzer twin cam stuff, if you have to ask price, you can't afford as the old saying goes!
Rare, and in the "new casting" category probably very very costly

There are more of us out there than I thought! Hi, my name is Bryan and I too have a late nose on an early car
a few years back I bought a set of early grilles because I like the look better, went to put them in and went...DOH! I've thought about at least painting the perimeter and the 3 slats in the middle silver/chrome......but never have gotten around to it. I figure if I use spray paint it should be easy enough to get off if I don't like it..

Surprised nobody has brought up this engines inherent poor design qualities....I know there is something about cracking heads or blocks that are quite common....though i'd have to look in to it to know for sure, but I'm sure there is SOMETHING about these engines like that

I am looking to put my 320i recaros in the car and need the stock seat rails/adjusters for the car as my current racing seats don't have these!
Thanks

Ya, I just got pulled over a few weeks ago in the 02, first time in probably 12 years....was going 50 in a 35, and only did it because I was tired of just going slow in all the traffic from light to light...there was nobody in front of me so I just pushed it.....not for long, but apparently for long enough for a cop to "pace me"......DOH
I was feeling a bit pent up, from moving where I had empty twisty country roads at my disposal.....and going 70 in a 40....(well not the whole time), to being in the city with stop lights and traffic everywhere all the time......couldn't help it =)

Here is a pic of the airbox.....trying to figure out the mounting here in the pic, I can take some others.

Love the car and the engine, always liked sahara cars tastily modified, somewhat sleeper look (not as loud as a red car)
Interested in the build as well, is that a vacuum log for the MS, or for the brake booster I see? Are you running MS2 for this? I am assuming you have seen the 77e21 site where the guy goes in depth about his ITB tuning, lots of good info there!
Also, I have a few Carbon fiber airboxes I have made that are close to being done but have not had the motivation to finish (i'm running 318i now...), i'd sell you one for a decent price assuming you'd have to do a little work (just with the mounting set-up). It looks like it would fit your set-up as the ITB's are angled up and not straight at the booster like DCOE's correct?

How about around the lower rear window.....how is that? I need a good non-rusty section to replace mine

From reading comments and then doing a little searching myself, it seems Ebay bought a stake in Craigslist.....to pretty much put an end to these sites. If you have to pay to use ebay, and craigslist is free and can reach the whole country (for those that know how with these mega-search sites), then it takes business away from ebay, especially since they have "classifieds" listings as well now.
I suspect these sites posted as alternatives will suffer the same fate....just need a new classifieds site!

Anyone have a good source for the pigtails on these senders? Besides waiting for one to show up in a P&P or someone parting out......i'd like to know how much gas I have etc, and connect power in a proper way!
Thanks,
