  1. Check your #12 fuse! If it's blown the solenoid wont open... Ask me how I know. ALSO check your connections to the solenoid and make sure you're not shorting any circuits.

I agree, it is acting like the solenoid is not opening. Won't idle, runs crappy. Sometimes the wire breaks at the solenoid. If that is the problem, it is a simple cheap fix. Sometimes just "spinning" the fuse solves the problem. HTH

  2. My Touring has over 220,000 KM on it, and a 4.11:1 diff. I have spent hours on the highway at 4500-5000 RPM. A little hard on me, but the car really smooths out and seem very comfortable in the 4-5K rpm range. Ditto on the advice to carefully check out the running gear. It is no fun having suspension failure at any speed. They really do seem to like to be driven hard.

  3. Outstanding photographs.....I was there all day, and you captured images I missed. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures. I know the organizers (John and Jeff) would love to use many of them.

I think I recognized my hood. Glad I replaced that beat-up Roundel on it this year.

  4. They have a category for "Swap". $35 gets you and your Swap stuff in. They park you in a special area. If you use the "register link" you will find some of the details in there. Hope to see you there. It is a good place to find deals on spare parts, or to get rid of unneeded stuff.

  5. Glad you are going to make it, Jim.

Tom Jones usually rolls down from Bay area very late fri nite, and grabs a nap parked somewhere by the beach. Check with him, he may be leaving earlier.

We should leave SB 7:00ish after Breakfast somewhere TBA. Email me, would love to drive down from SB with you.

  6. I'm going to be headed to SoCal Vintage again this year and was wondering how many others are as well?

My plan so far is to head out Friday evening down 101, take an in car nap in Santa Barbara, have breakfast Saturday morning with InkaSteve and caravan on in from there....

I will have a load of transmissions for Jack Fahuna in my trunk and have more to bring. So, I was hoping I could find some room in someone else's car.

I am ready here in SB. Is Sean Driving down also?

    Sunrise has been scheduled........
