I'm so sad I didn't get to go this year with my car running great! Jealous of all of you! Better be some good pics coming soon!!
We are going to miss you this year...Here are some teaser pics from Thursday
Drive over Carmel Valley Road....no traffic problems
Convinced this M-Roadster to join me in the twisties
He enjoyed it so much, he bought lunch at the Baja Cantina (car guy heaven)
And these were a few of the cars in the restaurant parking lot.
Tomorrow, Friday, should be really good..
-
I will not get there till Friday morning,
If you can get down Thursday Night, I can put you up. I think you still have my cell #. Jim has it if you don't. Let me know if I can help. I have access to my Cousin's Carmel house for Thursday night, and have an extra bed available.

I'm still in Witchita
Going for beers with the Dude!
John
Maybe you will get a "last-minute" flight to Monterey.....we can hope can't we??
-
Hey Jim- Did not realize that you were out here in Cali- I will be going to the Legends on Friday and the Festorics / vintage races on Saturday.
Joseph - ChicoJo
Just talked to Jim on the phone and he will be going to the races w/ me on Saturday!
I am going to drag him to the Legends on Friday. Headed up from SB on Thursday.

Headed to Carmel for BMW Concours on Thursday 8/18 from Santa Barbara. There are usually some from Southern California that make the trip. Anyone connecting up for a caravan?
-
Marc,
Your pictures are wonderful as usual. Thank you for sharing.
The tour is on my list of things I must do someday.
-
The poll won't let me select multiple uses.
Daily driver, some weekend drives, some car shows, all vintage rallies, hauling for Lowes/Home Depot runs, etc...

all signed up. Can't wait. Any SoCal to Monterey caravans??
-
Couldn't be my 76, it is still in the driveway.......I think... better go look!!
-
no problems here other than finding that size of tire (which I love)
-
Stopped at a light today, and two small boys were pointing at my car and saying "Cars 2".
-
Congrats....one step closer to being back on the road.
-
It is an ARCO thing, not a California thing. I believe it is the only one that does that.
Welcome to California, hope to see you around. Don't miss the SoCal Vintage Meet in October.
-
Davin, so sorry about your "off-road excursion". Very happy that the injuries were minimal.
Here are some of my pics of a Riviera 02, sorry about the Inka Car being in most of them, but I couldn't shake the Riviera off my bumper.
Used to belong to "Aspire02" in Santa Barbara. First pic is the car before he bought it.
Hope that the new project is as "cool" as the last one.
-
Thanks Nick, loved all the pics, especially the one with all the tourings..
Have to put that trip on my "bucket List".

It was great seeing you guys.
Steve, you missed some excellent red fish. How was the pork chop?
The Citation X is said to be one of the fastest business jets in the world. It is the fastest commercial jet,,,,,, in the world. (Jeremy Clarkson inflection)
Always a good time when 02ers get together.
John
Glad Dave took good care of you. Come again soon, bring the family, stay awhile. I will point out all the Kid-Friendly stuff around here. As well as the MicroBrewerys.
Have to start calling you "flash". I think I heard a sonic boom when you left this AM.
Stay safe..

Wow! Is that a private plane?
Harv is a pilot for a Fractional Jet ownership company (sorta like NetJets) . The Citation X is said to be one of the fastest business jets in the world.
Very cool....
-
Great meeting you. Hope you had a good time!
SantaBarbara02 snapped a pic of Harv's "Ride", a Citation X. Not Inka, or even Colorado, but still pretty hot looking.. If he is in your area, make time to meet him. It will be fun for both you and Harv.

That Moron in the cars forum is just making a fool of himself.
Tom's reputation both here, and with those who've had direct dealings with him, speaks for itself and will easily able to survive a loudmouth like that.
Cheers!

And a good one you are!
Thanks, We had a wonderful visit with Harv.
-
Looks like we might get two or three more guys. (maybe David, Eric, Austin) any more takers??
How much time do you have on the ground, John?? Might drive over to the "Beachside" (5 minutes away), so we can chat and see the Pacific Ocean at the same time. Or, we could drive up the mountain to Cold Springs Tavern. Call when you land, I will notify the others.
