Having removed all of the Driver's door hardware and cleaned and greased every moving part, I scouted around for suitable film to recover the door under the card.

Whoever had worked on it previously, had removed it and not replaced it.

Hmmm, what could I use?

Recognise it?

It's what's left of the shower curtain. Well, who wants dolphins in the bathroom anyway?

Anybody else got a story of expedient household item liberation?

I really need to do that, went for a drive today in pissing rain and soooo much came in past the door cards. Maybe I shall be buying some plastic sheeting next week! What glue did you use?

I personally used rubber cement so that I could remove it again. My door plastic says;

Yes, thanks for that.

I applied rust kill on any affected area, then fishoil. Roxy is stored in a garage, and never driven in the rain if I can help it. And of course, living in central New South Wales, it's mostly dry as a bone here, despite the occasional downpour.

Btw vic, I was passing through yass back in january when I was moving from sydney to albury/wodonga. My father was approached at the petrol station by a guy that had a 1602, I think and asked about my 2002. How many 2002's do you have there in yass?
