Need NK 4-door tailpipe

Does anybody have a decent tailpipe that they would like to sell me. Jeff C?

I need the part that comes out of the drivers side of the rear muffler and exits to the rear of the car.

Actually, I just ordered the tailpipe from Mr. Blunt.

But I do need a center resonator if anybody has one.

Fink Built - I need to get my exhaust system squared away as well.

I got these pictures from a car on e bay. I believe this is the stock set up.

Tom Jones will loan me a Stock set up

to get the muffler gut to pattern it after.

Hopefully he will post a picture of it.

Are you done with your 5 speed swap ?

Please post details.

I would post in the Parts Wanted section over here as well..... Or even the NK section. They have many parts sources in Europe that we haven't even begun to tap.

Yeah, all of the stock exhaust is still available in Germany. When you order from Blunt, or a dealership, they will get them from Germany. I am getting it piece by piece. I have a new stock muffler, and a new stock tailpipe on the way.

The car had a muffler shop special on it when I got it. The rear and center mufflers were 2 identical "cherry bombs". The rear muffler had exits at the ends (not one side exit and one end exit) so the muffler shop had done a big mandrel bend to reach the entry of the muffler. This bend was positioned such that when you jacked up the car, the passenger side trailing arm would rest on the pipe, right at the CV joint. This also prevented me from installing the rear sway bar.

So for now, I am keeping the cherry bomb center section, and adapting it to the new stock rear muffler.

Someday soon I need a new downpipe as well, as mine has almost no flair left to it at all!

5 speed info in seperate post.

No, that is not stock stuff. That is a muffler shop special, although a better looking muffler shop special than I had :)

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
