Can't find reverse

My '02 has a five speed conversion in what seems to be the standard shift pattern. I was rowing through the gears for the first time today and noticed that I couldn't access reverse by moving the shifter to the far right gate and down. I was able to shift into the five forward gears just fine. Am I missing something here? Do these trans have a reverse lockout, or might something else be wrong. I just find it strange the rest of the gears can be shifted into smoothly and it's like reverse doesn't even exist.

Far left and up is reverse...took me a while to get it as well...

Thanks for the input. I will mess with it some more. The sooner I find reverse, the sooner I can back it out of my driveway and take a test drive.
