I hate window tint...

The PO had that purplish window tint in the rear 1/4 and back windows. I've owned the car for two months, so it was getting to the point that I either remove it or be forced to claim it as my own, by default.

Many razor blades, paper towels, %&$@*%, and hours later it is finally all gone.

I haven't spent that much time in the back seat of a car since I was a teenager on a date.

I got this advice from a friend that tints for a living. Spray window with water and put a layer of black garbage bag over the area. Leave it in the hot sun for 30 min. It will peel off with no problems. A heat gun usually works better than razor blades too. No help now but for next time.....

Almost... Add ammonia to the water. Mos' def' on the garbage bags. Success ratio (for me) is 50%. Yes, the ammonia will make you want to gag and will water your eyes, but it breaks down the window tint glue.
