rear vent window seal - excess rubber

ryanOC

Recommended Posts

there seems to be around 4-6 inches extra rubber on the top section of the seal where it meets the vertical chrome column

should i fit this in place, or should i 'push' the seal downwards to squeeze more seal in, and thus making 'waves' in the seal where the window closes against it?

thanks

you want to fit it in there so it fits perfectly and then add maybe 3/16". then stuff it in place. it WILL shrink over time. how long im not sure. it depends on climate and sun exposure i imagine
