BMW 2002 S14 conversion.

Can anybody help me with information on installing an S14 motor in a RHD 2002.

The current problems encountered are:

1. Need to convert to rack and pinion steering to allow for room to fit exhaust manifold.

2. Wiring of S14 motor into basic 2002 wiring.

Anybody had any experience that I could get some info from.

If you do a search for " Chamonix Trix" in the project section, you'll see my RHD car that is in Brisbane.

A lot of the work on my car was done by Simon at RX Automotive, who works on a silver race car that I've heard is the sister car to yours.

He also works on a racecar that has a rack and pinion conversion done, so he'd be able to help you out.

2. Wiring of S14 motor into basic 2002 wiring.

The engine harness has a big red wire. This is your source for 12 volts. It also has a C101 connector. Use it to interface to your 2002 electrical.
