Rear shock replacement and urethane question

Kidasters

Recommended Posts

Well - I'm about halfway through the installation of my Top End rear battery mount, and I'm thinking about changing the rear shocks while I'm at it. The way Top End has you do it, you have to take the shock out to bolt the rack in, and I figure if I gotta take em out, I might as well replace them (I think they are bilstein HD's, but I'm not sure). Anyway, while I'm in there, I thought I would upgrade any bushings I find back there - and I could have sworn that there were some urethane bushings somewhere just for the top part of the shock. Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks,

Ken

Harrison,

Yep - new bilsteins come with a rubber bushing at the top.

I checked Ireland Engineering. They only sell urethane bushings for the rear trailing arms.

I found some on e-bay from a company called AKG motorsports. We'll see how that works.
