Rosemont is 3 miles from O'Hare airport and pretty much hotel central. Great view of take-offs from the eastbound runways though......

in that area theres no reason to be stuck in a hotel, as you go west from there, you can visit the original McDonalds in DesPlaines, and at Woodfield mall in Scaumburg, theres gotta be a hundred restaurants, Or catch an El train to Chicago from the station a block from the convention center.

You will only be a couple miles from Ben Thongsai's B&D Auto on Derby near 25th Avenue and Roosevelt Road. That's worth a special trip. Giordano's Pizza, Lou Malnati's Pizza and Nancy's Pizza are in the area as well. American Science and Surplus is on Milwaukee and Foster +/- ?

Since you're in the Chicago area, if you like pizza and beer, I'd take the Blue Line el from Rosemont to the Damen/Milwaukee el stop in Wicker Park, Chicago. Walk east a half block along North Ave. to Piece, a pizza and brew pub in an old bow truss structure that was once a manufacturing building. Enjoy!
