Hi to all

I have viewed and enjoyed this site for a while so thought it time it was time to start my very own blog , so here we go......

This is my journey to date with my 1973 verona red 2002 with only 26000 miles from new.I bought the car last year after seeing an add in BMW CAR CLUB UK web page. I was unsure about the milage at first but then after speaking with the onwer quickly relised this was a rare chance to get a good car for not to much money. So without even seeing the car I took the chance and got it shipped up to Scotland for Southampton.

After getting the car here in Scotland i noticed it had some rust on the wings and front panel. i then decided to sent it to Jaymic to have all new panels and welidng carried out where of cousre the found more holes, but on a whole I still feel i got a good car for the money.

The car is now at the next stage having lower half chrome work removed and getting painted inc underside of car. After that it is the final fitting of the s14,new braking system (no servos),lowered with coilovers and finaly a new carpet to finish for now.

I have attached a few snap of when i bought the car ....i while attach more as progress continues....thanks and hope you enjoy.

Nice car, but it seems strange that you bought it because it was nice and original with low miles but your doing a s14 swap etc. I rekon the s14 will be sweet its just seems stange.

Are you keeping it Verona?? - i hope so, good colour and year.

Keep it up.

I know what you mean but my aim was to find the best untouched shell that i could (without already being patched or welded)and this was what i found after months of looking...I than thought should i be doing this to a completely standard car in this condition.......but decided that i had got what i was looking for so to crack on with plans......and to answer the question about verona .....yes of course...... all the mods that I will be carrying out are mostly hidden and discrete ie,brakes , engine ,lowering and a pair of comfy Recaros...the only other diffrrence is the removal of the lower chrome work.

cheers and thanks for comments
