I am wondering if a tube version of the control arms and trailing arms would be stronger, lighter etc..

If anyone can come up with tube size and wall thickness I am willing to fab some up and find ou how expensive etc. they would be.

I suggest

For the front 1 1/4 od x .095 wall DOM tube and for the rear 1 1/2 x .095 wall dom tube

I was thinking smaller chrome-molly tube like they used on the formula ford chassis'.

It would look bitchen and probably do a lot better job.

I am not ready to put my life on the line to find out, without some crunched numbers though.

for the front control arm at least.

Remember that a FF has A-arms in the front which will add tremendous strength over the control arm that the 2002 uses.

Also remember that FFords weigh about 925 lbs, have 115 hp, and not a lot of tire. Not very similar to a 2002...
