Part Number Question

Part number 1100 1261 408 is for an exch. eng. installed into my car in 1981.

Does anyone here know anything about that part number? Is it the standard motor for a 1974 2002?

11.00.1.261.408 is still a 'good number' "in the system"

and list price is $3690.02 - for a "Reman Short Engine"

"sort block" = just the block with crank and fitted pistons, oil pump and oil pan

"long block" = block, head, crank, pistons, valves and cam - every thing between the oil pan and cam cover. NO intake or exhaust manifolds, alternator, or starter.
