"Guest" and logging in.

There are a lot of posts with "guest" logged in. I find it very frustrating to type a long post and then discover that you didn't log in. Why is it that if you log in after you've typed a message, that the message completely disappears? This is really annoying. Can this be changed?

Maybe there couild also be a flag to alert you that you are not logged before your message is posted?

I just find it annoying that every time someone wants to trash talk or bash someone's post, they always use the "Guest" name. It's easy enough to make a profile, why not limit the board to registered users?

I was just about to post to request AGAIN, that they turn on the "MUST BE LOGGED IN TO POST" fuction of PHPBB2.

how about just highlighting the text you typed and right click, copy, before you log in? then just paste back after you login...............

but yes...there should be no posting allowed unless logged in.

you can also have your browser remember your login creds so that whenever you visit the site, you are automatically logged in. problem solved.

I joined BMW 2002 FAQ recently, because I'm restoring a 1972 02tii, and never having used forums before, I have to admit, i'm having trouble understanding how this works. Are all forums complicated like this?
