What’s this connector under my dash

Taking apart my dash to replace the light switch (overheating a bit and spotty with the interior dimmable lights). I came across this connector that’s not connecting to anything. Anyone know what it’s for? Seems like it’s just hanging underneath the dash

What year is your '02?

Looks like the plug for the ignition switch/seatbelt buzzer...which is probably long-gone.

If so, be thankful this irritating device has been disconnected.

It’s a 74, honestly not sure what it is. Bought the car like this and redoing the wiring. @John76 what does/did it do exactly?

The buzzer made an annoying sound if you started your car without your seatbelt plugged in.

I think it also buzzes if you open the door with the key still in the ignition.
