I removed the tubes from my 49-state manifold and do have 4 ea. M10 extra-fine thread bolts.

Your solution is the perfect way to seal the air injection permanently! My permanent solution is a Tii exhaust manifold!

 I'm looking for something that can be reversed easily if desired while still providing the air injection and EGR for CA smog.

I was going to use M10 grub screws with a recessed Allen socket, such as a shortened exhaust manifold stud. I'm hesitating a bit because I don't want to have any sharp edges or carbon clogging the Allen socket, or the heat differential causing the screws to loosen, or become so bonded that removal would be impossible. 

Hmmm ... always tinkering.

I had thought of allens but it was easier to get the bolts. To be reversable dont use JB weld and go deeper below flush then use only 1 light stake that you can easily retap. It wont take much to keep them from backing out.

 

To be truthful, I'm pretty sure none of this is necessary. Worse case if they are open is the exhaust gases go back against the check valve which it does anyway especially when air pump is not spinning fast. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Wrong/Right??

 

I plugged the check valve port and nozzle ports because I over do everything.
